A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby DT. » Mon May 25, 2009 2:34 pm

I seem to recall a similar situation by a TC who had written something similar about Gavur's in his sig. He had one TC (Deniz I believe) confront him about it.

I for one didn't agree with the expression regardless of how one chooses to translate it (and I said so early on in this thread).

It is idiotic however to spend 9 pages in a day getting personal about something like this when every day some settler or other will come on this forum and rub the invasion and occupation in our face.....

May we now move onto the next sig since we're in a mood to start censoring and ban runway's sig with the equally offending

North Cyprus belongs to TURKISH Cypriots.

My home is in the north of Cyprus so this is insulting.

Fuck off ....

(Well, you did tell me not to show off with vocabulary!)

Such an unbecoming expression by a woman , especially by an old woman.

For Greek speakers, the comments made by this guy during the turk anthem sums up what most Greeks think of turks:

I agree, that is the worst of signatures.

Whilst we are spring cleaning ... can we also ask VP to remove this one (more because of its stylistic assault on the language):

Do not trust the horse, Trojans. Whatever it is, I fear the Greeks Cypriots even when they bring gifts or arrows.

Shocking, even if only for the poor grammar.

Well said the new "Turk" DT. We have all had to endure some very nasty sigs and in your face insults re:1974 and the murders and rapes. We have had at least one senior member post in defence of the murder of Our Brother Solomos. Where was the PC lynch mob in that post?

A fine point DT. It's offensive but not racist, in my opinion.

Lets see I lost my house because I am a GC....Runaway claims that the only people allowed to live in my house now are TC's.

And you don't see the racism?

It's so badly written one would think a 2-year-old child did it. I don't take it seriously; in fact I pity the poor illiterate fool.
