A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

This signature is racist, can easily be construed as support for genocide and does nothing to help the already seriously stalled peace protest. I wish have nothing more to do with a forum that permits such a signature to be used.

Not only do you apparently believe that the only good Turk is a dead one but you seem to have difficulty in understanding them since Turks/Turkish Cypriots using this site are quite obviously offended by it. You may be aware of the more subtle interpretations of the slogan but most are not, perhaps you should qualify it by an explanation each time.

I am quite offended that my wife is unable to return to her paternal village. The sword cuts both ways I'm afraid, it is just that I'm only using words and they are threatenning to kill us with their 40,000 troops.

I stated beforehand, that I apologise if any TCs are offended. This is not my intent. In fact, there are TCs here I like a lot, and will never dream of offending them. So it is to them that this apology is directed. The more rational TCs, would not be offended in the slightest.

Says the prat !!! Sorry Turks but surely you can not be offended just because this Plonker considers only a dead Turk is good !! You Turks are very touchy , I mean someone says your lives are worthless and only death makes them valuable and you get offended !!!!
Oh my God we do have some real plonkers amongst us led by none other that the incomparable lady Viperous herself a committed bullshit spreader, supporting cast each and every destructive to Cyprus individual , Plonkers all of them but none the biggest as the muttonhead , or is it kangaroo head Paphitis the impostor Cypriot !!
ps. Lets shoot down a few civilian aircraft on approach to the northern part of Cyprus shall we .
You despicable ,insignificant reprehensible little git !!

I second that, but surely the real problem is not just on this forum but that teachers are openly propagating these thoughts through the school system, according to one of these posters. It is openly used in the Army too which is an arm of the RoC. This must be tackled properly otherwise there is no hope for reconciliation; sooner or later it will fall apart again as in 63.
It is now easier then ever to deal with it. It is racist and racism is against the law in the EU. It is upto RoC to take them to task. Unless of course the RoC is riddled with people who are of that mind. We have no way of knowing. Actions speak louder than words.

I beg to dissagree . I have a brother age 60 who is the vice president of the American Academy in Limassol. Such racist remarks are not tolerated either at private or government schools . The percentage of such individuals is rather small and insignificant. My views are shared by the overwhwelming majority of G/Cs who will not tolerate extreme language.

I have posted more than 7000 posts. I have been consistent with my views on the Cyprob and by stern condemnation of the continued occupation of a part of Cyprus by a foreign nation. I have consistently supported the legitimacy of the RoC as per the UN , the EU and all other International organization. I have never once posted one word of mindless hatred either against the T/Cs that I have always referred to as my compatriots or indeed against the Turkish occupiers. I have been critical of Turkeys continued occupation and have vociferously campaigned against the presence of occupying troops on our island.
I have challenged the extremists , the hate spreaders on this forum , G/Cs and T/Cs without once reverting to violent and provocative statements.
A couple of years back while in Limassol , I came across an offensive graffiti on a wall situated in a prominent and well visible part of Limassol .
The same mindless morons who wrote "fuck Turkey , fuck Israel , fuck America " , are the same idiots who some years back invited Turkey to our shores . Bought a spray can and obliterated the offensive graffiti .
Might just do that with Paphitis , obliterate !!!

WTF is going on here FFS? Does this saying literally mean " the only good turk is a dead turk" ? YES or NO? if "YES" then it is racist and utterly stupid.

Are you for real, don't even know the meaning to a statement you're endorsing? Are you nuts?
