A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Cypriots are not savages , we are not the Taliban , such highly contemptible statements can be used by the Turkish authorities as representative of the G/C viewpoint , and I for one will never allow my self to stand by while a fellow G/C continues to exhibit and use as a signature a statement that is repulsive , uncivilized , divisive nonconstructive and damaging to our Cyprus.

Well, you seem to agree with the… “A good Taliban is a dead Taliban” American “principle”, even though they’re thousands of miles away and have never hurt any Cypriots, but you disagree with the Turkish version even though they’ve invaded our country and killed thousands of our people!

It’s more a case of you clearing up your mind and getting your priorities right Miltiades, but I won't bet on it...

Let this forum know that Miltiades will no longer participate on this forum while such nauseatingly offensive racist signature is allowed to continue.

 Now how many times have I seen something like that before?

I do not know how directly relevant is this, but the above game in Athens -with so many "patriots" like you around, ended in a disaster as Greece had lost 4-0 in its own home. So inspiring your fellows had been, in that game! On the other hand, when Greece played Turkey in its own field, and obviously none of your likes had dared to travel in Turkey -set aside do anything similar in the stands, Greece had bitten Turkey with 2-0! So much about your inspirational capabilities, which managed to confuse and disgusted Greece’s players do badly, that inevitably they went down and lost in shame! I am sure when Greece will play Turkey again, you will do just exactly the same, for being the imbeciles you are, you never learn!

James_mav and the likes of you such as Oracle, Paphitis and Byron, why don't you do us the favor to join this group of fascists and neo-nazis, and hopefully free us from your nonsensical rhetoric? You know, this people will now run in the Euro-parliament elections, and we will see how many votes they will receive. We will see how popular your nonsensical rhetoric will prove to be, among the GC society.

Yeah 'cause the scoreline in a football match matters.

I wanted to save myself the embarrassment of the hysterical pre-teen-esque reactions of a couple of our compatriots.

At the following blog:

http://hellenicnationalist.blogspot.com ... tions.html

the author, who claims to be “a Hellenic Nationalist living in New York City”

provides us with the following translation of the slogan being debated in this thread, which appears in a photograph of a banner that was displayed during a football match:

'The translation for the last pic is "The only good Turk is a dead one".'

So, he has got it wrong, has he?

The same blog informs us that:

“UEFA also fined the Greek Football Federation (EPO) 100,000 Swiss francs ($83,250) after incidents at the Georgios Karaiskakis stadium during the 4-1 defeat by Turkey, which involved fireworks and missiles being thrown, racist banners displayed and a general lack of organization.”

It seems that UEFA also misunderstands this supposedly charming little folk saying which we are told is being misinterpreted and is not at all an incitement to genocide. Silly UEFA!
