Secondly you are suggesting that all are criminals, be careful how you define members of your community.

Your side wont accept getting rid of GC military.

Put that on the table and see where it goes. I feel confident that the Greek army will go along with the Turkish army and I feel confident that there will be a demilitarised Cyprus upon solution provided the TC's let go of demands for Turkish army.

Bill I cannot really tell you much about the Turkish speaking Cypriot community in Larnaca other than annectodal stuff that I read and heard from TC's about a large community in that city.

What I can tell you though is that there are approximately 2.500 registered TC's for voting purposes in the RoC elections. I would assume they live in the free area.

VP I would like a response to the population numbers I have posted above and you have avoided to respond too.

Ok H. I must say the people I have seen in the mosque in the last few visits (Mrs C has relatives in refuge in the old "tc" quarter behind the mosque) were pretty well-dressed. Didn't look like itinerants to me. Not that it matters, as you say.

Unless you have an alternative viable answer for the national interests of Cyprus and protection of her citizens, how can anyone possibly suggest demilitarization and be taken seriously?

VP that is why am not a politician. there is at least another country that I know of in Europe that does not have military. We can follow suite.
