Have another walk around the outback. You may find some.
Are you referring to the supposed drought in Australia? Living in the UK, you should be well versed in the use of the rhetoric of environmentalism (or for that matter, the rhetoric of [insert unrelated and/or fantasy "issue" here]) for strictly political purposes.
In fact, the British "guests" who've bought land illegally in occupied Cyprus model their behaviour on Australian "farmers" who buy extremely marginal land that produces a crop once in 6 years, and then ask the government to compensate them for the other 5, since it is someone else's fault that it didn't rain where it has never rained before.
Deconstruct it:
[Australian farmers | British expats]
buy
[extremely marginal farmland | property illegally]
and then complain that it is somebody else responsibility to bail them out because
[it's the fault of people in the cities that it does not rain on their marginal, desert farm | it's the fault of the government of the RoC, United Kingdom, Turkey, the agents, or even the Greek Cypriot refugees that they illegitimately bought land]
