So what is it that you know, because what I know is that Greek fighters fly over Cyprus all the time

They're not coming from Greece, and most of them are not Greek either. I'm afraid it's your governments fault, for considering every ex-Soviet from the Black sea region as Greek

And what about the EU?

It’s been a very costly exercise so far… everything seems to have skyrocketed in price since joining! The tourists everyone complains about aren’t prepared to pay our overheads anymore Alexi…

Housing can no longer be purchased by newly weds, unemployment is on the rise, and we’re facing myriads of other problems we didn't have before. :?

So are you saying Cyprus would be better off outside the EU?

That's something you should be asking yourself for wasting so much of your time with something called "TRNC"... Image

In fact, the Cretans have SOME chance of gaining recognition but you have ZERO!

If they were serious and if there was a referendum, they wouldn't get more than 0.01% of the votes

The seeds of yearning have already been implanted and they will come back to haunt Greece at a future date...

Now, now! It's not very Greek to expect reciprocation in gift giving.

I don't. It's GR who tries to minimize the value of the gift

What’s the value of a box of chocolates offered by your wife’s lover?

Whatever he paid for it. As for its sentimental value, it depends on the value of your wife

They say “hope dies last” but in your case it’s ridiculous…

Hey if the majority of Cretans want to break-away, it's ok by me. But apparently they don't. They've fought too many wars for Greece, especially in Macedonia, to be capable of detaching themselves from the motherland

What ridiculous is ur mentality that believes the Cyprus talks to find a solution would last forever or Turkey and TCs surrender to Greek-GC solution thesis.

The problem is it's in Greek, but I'm sure you'll manage

here's the part you're interested in:
Στα σχέδια της Εθνικής Φρουράς δεν είναι η απόχτηση κυπριακών φτερών (λόγω οικονομικών κοστών αγοράς και συντήρησης, αλλά η αναβάθμιση των υφιστάμενων ελικοπτέρων), αλλά η κάλυψη του εναέριου χώρου με τα ελληνικά φτερά, τα οποία θα εδρεύουν και στην Κύπρο, στην Αεροπορική Βάση ‘Ανδρέας Παπανδρέου’.

Alexi, there was similar boasting pre-74 about some planes and an armada ready to "defend" Cyprus but today we know otherwise...

Whereas had we not joined the EU and the EURO Cyprus would look a little like Iceland right now. Bankrupt and angry.

Only difference is they have better women.

Securities and Exchange commisison mate..Officially.

(Unofficially it was o Poureko omoniatis CHristofias for offering the land opposite the Hilton to the Qatari's and not to Dubai.)

500million Euro 6 star hotel oppossite the Marfin owned Hilton woudn't make him very happy.
