Palio this is so wrong. How can an EU country do to the Turks what Turkey does to the Kurds. It is then used against them to block their accession and yet Greece is in the EU. This shows the double standards being used by the EU against Turkey. The worst of all, justify it because it was internationally agreed. It can't get any better than that. Shows what International law is about and how it is used and abused to serve the interests of those who can back it up with military power.

Don't bother talking about double standards to these blind people. Whatever Greece and south cyprus do to Turks, TCs, Albanians, Kosovars, Bosniaks,Macedonians and others is reasonable and when Turkiye does the same it is not acceptable.

It's only natural to hold turkey to a higher standard because of the greater degree of barbarism inherent in the country and its institutions. Get back to us when a buch of "village guards" in a European village turn up to a wedding and shoot dead 40 or so unarmed women and children, or when a large EU member invades a small one (French in invasion of Luxembourg, anyone?) Civilised Europe rightly considers you people to be bloodthirsty savages, and every action is consequently scrutinised carefully.

What you are doing is far worse. Denial of the existence of Turkish identity in Greece

You got it all wrong haven't you stupid? Kurds killed their Kurdish relatives. Both killers and the victims have the same surname Celebi. Motive is still unclear but thought to be a land dispute. So take your villager guard killing innocent people propaganda and put it into your ass.

Are you people for real? First of all, there are no turks in Greece. This both reality and legal fact, thanks to an international treaty, which all good citizens of the community of nations observe, respect, and uphold (except one nameless barbarian signatory who ethnically cleansed her own religious minority).

Secondly, how many Kurdish civilians have been killed in the south-east in the last thirty years? How many Greek muslims of western Thrace have been killed over the same period?

The delegation is to check whether Greece has honored a decision by the European Court of Human Rights allowing two local groups to define themselves as Turkish. In March last year, the court ruled that Greece had violated European provisions on freedom of association by banning two groups called the Xanthi Turkish Union and the Rhodope Cultural Association of Turkish Women.

Yes Turkiye forced the Swedish community of Xanthi to form an association called Xanthi Turkish Union and these Swedish people happen to be speaking Turkish.

You can't read and I'm stupid? Do you suppose for a second that people in the civilised world draw such a big distinction between kurds and turks? Did I even suggest one side of this debacle were kurds and the other turks? What you should've understood, if you're capable, is that the side doing the slaughtering are a part of turkey's security apparatus. In future, I will attempt to write things in shorter, more explicit sentences in future for the less literate contributors such as yourself.

Boy you mongoloids really are dense. Next month I will set up the Jedi Union of Xanthi, and the Greek government will be within its rights to ban my organisation because there are no Jedi in Xanthi. Just like there are no turks in Xanthi. The reality of the situation does not necessarily bear any resemblance to any group of blockheads' fanciful claims about the situation.
