Just got home from work to find you guys are still at it...
There is definitely such a Turkish saying! It implies that whoever it is said to is so full of pride that they wouldn't even dare taste their own spit!
Write it down in Turkish since VP has refused to do so. What is the big deal for writing it down. Such sayings have their own special meanings when written in the language it comes from which is mostly lost in translation into another language, so lets see the Turkish version. I have admitted of not hearing it before, at least the translated version, so lets see the original script.!
It's not a big deal at all! There's nothing lost in translation since it's exactly the same sentence in Turkish. If you know Turkish it would be easy to Google it and find out, but instead you're waiting for us to tell you so you can Google it to check yourself...
You are making less sense than a complete idiot, or worse, VP, T_C.!
What is to stop me from getting the Turkish translation to what VP wrote in English via Google if I did not speak Turkish, which I could have done from the beginning. All I would get would be a nonsensical translation in Turkish since certain sayings have their own special meanings which loses it's meaning in direct translation into another language. Now, stop being a spoiled kid and give me the Turkish script if in fact it exists. The fact that you and VP are refusing to write it in Turkish, makes me to believe that no such saying exists in Turkish.
I know both yours and VP's brain seems to lack the intelligence to work out a very simple matter of logic, and that is, if I did not speak Turkish, why would I challenge VP that such a saying did not exists, and even if it did, I already admitted of not hearing such a saying, and given the fact that I do not live in a Turkish speaking society in most of my adult life, it will not be unusual of not having heard all the Turkish sayings, at least not in the English translated version that VP wrote. Perhaps I will know it if it's in the Turkish script, so go ahead and write the damn thing down, if it exists, which I doubt. You are asking me to write something that does not exists. It's like trying to prove a negative. Now, be a good chap and give us the Turkish version.
Your mask has dropped, you are not a TC, the fact that you got so stewed up about a saying that is used in TC daily life just shows you havent got a clue about TCs because you are a GC in disguise.
If I'm a GC then you must be a female.!
The only masked dropped is your burka.?
Why did you not write it in Turkish, because you did not how to. Your English translation was slightly different from the way Deniz wrote and that was my whole point which you refused to write. You don't think I could have gotten the translation from google if I was that desperate, so there goes your another one of your mindless conclusions.
I don't claim to be living in Turkish Society in the last 30 years. You know my life history in living in the UK, States and Switzerland. I'm not like an "old woman" like you who goes around spilling gossips and throws around meaningless phrases. You had no idea what "gecegondu" meant before I've told you, so what, does that make you a Mongolian or what.?
