Talat-a nice guy or just another wolf in sheeps clothing?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Talat-a nice guy or just another wolf in sheeps clothing?

Postby cymart » Wed May 20, 2009 5:01 pm

Several years ago I was warned by several T.C's who supported Akinci not to be fooled by the 'nice-guy' image of Talat as they thought he was really devious and just as crafty as Denktash and co. underneath!
His statements in recent days that opening the Limnitis crossing will only benefit the G.C's etc. have reminded me of what they said.....even if it is true(and it's not,as people who live in Limnitis will confirm). In all fairness, this side encourages T.C.'s to come to hospitals in the south etc. free and I am all for this, but the main reason for opening this checkpoint is to help people who live in that area on BOTH sides-imagine if you are in Kato Pyrgos and get taken seriously ill and need 2 hours to get to Paphos hospital, while Nicosia could be reached in 45 minutes IF the road was open!It could be literally a matter of life and death, yet making petty and nasty statements like Talat did about it benefiting the G.C's only is hardly a sign of goodwill is it?Or is it that he just wants the money from G.C gambling addicts at the Kyrenia casinos and ordinary people don't count?
Do the people here REALLY want to share this country? If so,this is hardly a good indication!
Or maybe it's because the Ankara military and bureaucrats are in control of the north, just as some G.C's allege and Talat cannot even open a door, let alone a road block without their agreement, even if he is a 'nice-guy' at heart???Ditto the situation in Varosha-just psychological blackmail!

e sigoura re file..

but in the mean time they pass through the crossing whenever they like and that only benefits the turks.. so why would he come up with this crap excuse oh it only benefits the gcs when its already benefiting them and not the gcs.. but thats ok isent it? as long as the turks are happy who cares about anyone else... talat is full of crap and such a f ing hyporcite...

i mean not that i personally will ever pass through there or even pass again to the turkish invaded north while the jerkish army is here but many who would like to should be able to.. now if turks where nto crossing either that would be ok.. its not a one way thing..

i hope they are blocked from coming into the south this year.

As I understand things the RoC must keep crossing points across the cease-fire line open in order that EU citizens, going about their legitimate business, might move freely within the EU area.

Talat a nice guy? He'll try and get away with everything he can. Following Turkey's orders.

You must always take into account the reality of military power between the two sides before you lieve your feelings to guide you.As i said History is a long long life lady.Personally i am very worrying about our (G/cs) internal affairs than what Turks are doing- in long term i kelle toys en mes thn vourgan- basis our internal affairs are not became a Bullsht- soft and ..oloi eimaste aderfia...

If you've never been to the north....

I really suggest you go,but with an open mind and try talking normally to people over there and finding out how they think and feel about the situation, rather than making such negative rantings!

If Talat made that statement, Cymart, I also think he blundered too. I wonder if we can get the actual statement from the source, rather that a KYPE translation.
