Kitten Found

Postby Talar » Tue May 19, 2009 12:21 pm

Hi, is anyone interested in adopting a kitten? There's one under my apartment building in the Acropolis area of Nicosia. It's about 1-month old, brownish yellow with blue eyes, very cute and playful.

It sounds awfully young to be on its own. :(

You should you give it some milk and food until you find a home for it; although you sound really caring, so I am sure you are doing your best for the sweet little thing. :)

Is it the officially recognised 'Cypriot Cat' which usually has blue eyes?

Never give a young kitten cow's milk. You need to get special formula such as Lactol, which is avaialble at some pet shops. At one month, though, it should be on to solid food.

No milk, just food and water. Other residents and I have been feeding it but I can't seem to find anyone interested in adopting it.

You're doing a great job giving the kitten food and water Talar, and as Tim said avoid the milk under ideal circumstances. Most people wouldn't go to the lengths you have, so at least just leaving out some milk would prevent dehydration and supply some protein.

Good luck finding a home, and don't give up even if it takes a while ... :)
