Your narrating skills have to be appreciated by any kind of pop-up book publisher. You should really look into that kind of career and see what they have to offer you. A creative mind is a terrible thing to waste VP.

Thank you Tonight program......Your biased of the Cyprob will serve to unite the TC people even more......I will spend any spare time I have showing the TC people what sort of prejudice and propaganda we have to face. Although in 1974 the first to invade the island was Greek and not the Turks, nothing was said about that......I have access to top TC lawyers now as well....Legal action will be considered. Bloody corrupt crooks making programs.....

Zan, it sounds like the programme struck a nerve. I can't speak for others but I'm sure most would agree that the acquisition and illegal sale of anyone's land on the island should be condemned especially when it is done for political motives. You know very well that what the "trnc" has done is not legal, there is no such thing as exchange land.

The programme was about the stupid Brits who bought something they had no right to, it was not directly about the Cyprob and the complex history of Cyprus.

If you feel so strongly about the matter I suggest you ask your "Top TC lawyers" to persuade ITV to broadcast an honest programme about all the Turkish Cypriot land that the ROC has sold off cheap to Brits and others, good luck!

Zanny, if you genuinely cared about the right of return of all refugees (including 40-50k odd TCs) you would’ve been FURIOUS that a bunch of immoral Brits spurred on by a bunch of immoral TCs were “trading” property that does NOT belong to them!

At the very least, you should’ve been embarrassed that the RoC government did the right thing decades ago when they established the “Turkish Cypriot properties Management Service” thereby securing TC properties…

...while your people did exactly the opposite!!!

Have you no shame whatsoever? :?

Here's where you should thank them:

ITV plc
200 Gray's Inn Road,
London
WC1X 8HF
Tel: 0844 88 14150
[email protected]

I doubt any of the programme makers read this forum.

Please explain why you think the programme was biased and why ITV would make a biased programme.

zan wrote:will serve to unite the TC people even more......

Why will it do that? And what good will it do? Are you united with that developer who promised Brits their houses would double in value back in 2005? And whose developments are now at a complete standstill?

Why do you think it's prejudice and propaganda? Why would ITV be doing this?

zan wrote:Although in 1974 the first to invade the island was Greek and not the Turks, nothing was said about that......

This was a programme about the pitfalls of Brits buying property in the north, not a history of Cyprus.

How are they corrupt crooks? What you say is libelous unless you can back up your allegations.

Get used to it, because it is likely to get even hotter as the heat is turned up by the courts. You may end up being only in your undies all day long.!

Isnt this the worse case scenario? the villa gets demolished and returned to the GC for use as a plot of land in the TRNC and the Orams now sue the "RoC" for the land in the south which maybe very valuable?

Can you for once and for all explain yourself with this idea that the Orams have a right to any land in the south that belongs to a TC as an exchange to a land they bought in the north which was stolen and has a legal owner. Which exact plot of land in the south will they be entitled to, so tell us, or are you once again making worthless propaganda to give some comfort to the morally corrupted who did buy stolen GC land in the north. I don't get it and the more you repeat your statement, the more confused I get. Lets hear your explanation, shall we.!
