For those who missed it a report from your roving reporter,.....

The prog started by describing a situation which might .."ruin them (the Harems) and many thousands like them .."

Mrs O recounted that they " ..came on holiday, ..loved it (CY), so laid back and relaxed"...

They "bought" the land and spent £80,000 doing it up.

Two years later they got the Nicosia Court summons from Mr A.

Time and time again Mrs O tried to convince viewers that they ..." acted in good faith"... time and time again she used this phrase. Time and time again the Os see the problem as a ..."political".. one

The prog reckons that there are 6,000 Brits in similar situation.

The prog then moved to an interview with grissy lady Mrs Rita Severis who went with the reporter to see her stolen land only to find that within the past year several villas had been constructed on her land. Mrs Severis nearly breaks down.

Hen Smith, a GB lawyer in CY is interviewed and describes investing in tnuc-land as ...." some of the world's riskiest property".... that could make life for those who take the risk as ..."pretty miserable"...

Mike Nicholson the reported (this chap covered the 1974 invasion by the way) describes a situation in the Ocupied North where..." rules and regulations are overlooked"...

The Prog interviwed Mr Candounas who tells us that they all knew what they were doing was risky, that they knew they were "buying" stolen land and thare may be a price to pay.

The prog interviews Tahir Sukhan, a dodgy developer. It showed him in 2005 saying that investing in stolen land carried ..." no risk whatsoever"... . The pro shows his project to build 300 villas has been abandoned unfinished.

Simon Bahcelli is interviewed and tells us that in recent months..."building has come to a standstill.

Another Land Grabber, Mrs Marion Stokes is interviewed. Her new dream home is at a standstill following dispute with builder. She tells us she risks losing all. She didn't look too happy and tells us that all are looking to the Harem's case to get them out of the brown and smelly.

Near the end Bahcelli tells us that knowingly the Brits, the developers and the Illegal Regime conspired to create the situation.

All in all I'd give it a :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I've just got a call from the UK giving me the "skinny" on the program, which backs your reporting, so thank you Bill.!

Don't you just love her you thieving Brits?

If she was hung, drawn and quartered, it would be to the relief of her androgynous, apparently most put upon husband, with a modicum of a worried brow, who was probably steamrollered by this most stupid of women who ever scrubbed a floor, or served a school dinner, and with views well above her station, bought cheap to act rich, and lord it over those ethnically cleansed rightful owners ... whose feet she now has to kiss.

Well said Lady O. The Orams tried to adopt the Turkish way of seeing things. Eye for an eye instead of what goes around comes around that they were used to. Since they have no Turkish blood in them that we can "annihilate", I say we go for the jugular right in their pockets.

Unfortunately, the programme was too short to go into all the ins and outs of how she broke down and admitted she knew it was stolen property, or that the "trnc" was an illegal state etc ... but on the whole she and that other Irish woman (Mary Stokes? :? ) ... came across as greedy, self-pitying stupid hedonists who, like a grasshopper, will dance and be merry whilst the going is good and let others pick up the tab when the shit hits the fan ... and again, there was no mention of Turkey footing the bill for these Court cases to encourage the imbecilic Orams to plough through all the possible court scenarios ...

btw ... I think I spotted a cancerous looking mole on her cheek ....

I do not intend to defend the Orams, but I still maintain that the developers and lawyers have a big responsibility in these activities.

Interestingly no mention of Cherie Blair/Booth. It could have added to the anti Labour feeding frenzy we have witnessed this week. She was supposed to be on radio Five Live this afternoon but withdrew because of the political situation OR was she worried (with tonight's TV prog in mind) about being asked an akward question like "What's a so called Human Rights lawyer doing defending someone who lives on stolen land".

The biggest responsibility is on the Turkish government to allow the culprits to defend themselves in court.
