So its ok for APolsitildes but not Mustafa??? double standards yet again.

The two cases are so different... one was offered compensation and refused it and the other is/was refused access to it altogether.

I can't remember the details but the TC must've felt a lot better than the GC because at least the RoC RECOGNISE that he is the owner unlike the GC who was being laughed at.

Whose place would you rather be in?

Well apparently the RoC government hasn't been keeping their word either. Turns out that till 2003, rarely was compensation paid into the guardian of Turkish Cypriot properties for the TC land that was expropriated.. :?

I would have thought.

Probably they are now seeking to avoid the two legs and fly direct.

As far as I know, the plane lands in Turkey and then takes off again, this time on a flight with another number.

I call it the "Midnight Express".!

If CTA is not careful, once the ECJ ruling has cleared the UK courts, they may become on a "hit list" for individuals and companies trespassing on GC land that the Ercan airport is built on. If they do not pay the fines, then it will be easy to confiscate the planes upon landing on any of the EU's other 26 member states by the actions of the courts.!

You land in the South mate and make sure you kiss the ground because it is built on TC land and when you lift your lips off the ground be sure to wipe the TC blood from your lips

Ansd you've got the cheek to demonise your own people for flying to their own country!!

Oh no, not the LCA pollocks again.

Which "tc" owned the hundreds of donums that LCA is built on Zan?

If you are going to answer like a child then I will help you......In the same vein....The TRNC is built on mant peoples land so with your childish mentality we need not worry about them either. Deal...You keep the land that is part of the airport and we will keep the land that is part of the TRNC.

Either the same importance is applied to TC land or the same dismissal..You have been living in my country far too long old chap, albeit in the South. You have learned the double talk really well....

Zan - you little fibber you, back to your little old porky telling ways so quickly. You naughty, naughty little Zanoui. You little cry-baby you.

Enough of the small talk. Come along little Zanny. Stop sulking, grow up and tell us, .........

HOW MUCH OF THE THOUSANDS OF DONUMS THAT LCA IS BUILT ON WAS "TC" LAND?

(give you a little help - look up posts by GR and Paphitis above)

@VP, if the "tc" chap who owns the tiny part, in the corner by the fence feels hard done by and he/she is justified in their claim then I wish them every success at the ECHR. Really I do.

Charlui baby, last time I read about that, RoC had offered the owner 20,000 pounds and the owner asked for 100 million pounds, so it must be a substantial part of it. Surely one of our GC honest forumers can settle this by checking in the land registry to see how much of the airport land is TC owned.

Our dear Freddie, Paphitis has already told us that (pre '60? ) Much of the present day LCA was a GB airfield and GR tells us that he has seen the maps and that the "tc" land in question was a small part. I am sure you'll agree that both of these fine gentlemen are honest forumers.

In any event, as Zan has made the contentious claim he should put up the evidence to back it up.

(reh Fredopsaroboulla, aman se tho, tha we klotsisso, mesta kochania.

Until GR provides credible evidence, what he says is 'hearsay' We would love to see his credible evidence. Can you please ask him?

At least you believe the fact that LCA was mostly built on land that was formerly a RAF Airfield built in the 1930s...

Or is that hearsay as well? :?

No VP. ALL TC still has legal rights to their land and their properties still bear their names on their titles. The properties owned by TCs are currently looked after by a trust until the TC owners lay claim to their properties. It is absolutely their problem for not claiming their land.

People have tried to claim their properties in the south but they have been treated differently from other Citizens, why is that?

You can not claim that the RoC displays double standards. The double standards are displayed by the "trnc" regime and the ECJ fully understands this, hence the recent ruling against the Orams. TCs are able to claim their land within the RoC but GCs have never been able to take legal ownership over land and property that they were ethnically cleansed from

Why? do they treat you just as they treat me? why do I have hurdles placed in my way when you dont?

Furthermore, the "trnc" regime has issued fake title deeds to stolen GC owned property and sold these properties to other TCs, Turkish Settlers, and even British Scavengers at a cheap price. This is the type of corrupt society you have become and now you have the audacity to state that the RoC has double standards when in actual fact this is not possible as the RoC is a full member of the EU and has successfully met all its obligations in implementing all EU Acquis criteria, which can be said is a benchmark in democracy, human rights and freedom of movement. These are the very ideals which you are trying to deny all Cypriots because these freedoms and rights do not suit your desire to exploit stolen GC land which does not belong to you.

Does the TRNC being "corrupt" as you claim give the GCs the right to treat us any differently from GCs? You are the one claiming you apply EU standards because you have passed the tests of the EU but when we shout you apply double standards you cannot see no you do not want to see that we are discriminated against for the events of 1974 to which GCs also contributed. You r double standards give is the right to take your courts to the ECHR and ask them to get you to do the right thing like when they made you give the TC his home back in the south.

People have tried to claim their properties in the south but they have been treated differently from other Citizens, why is that?

People who have gone through the correct channels, by proving that they are not residing on land owned by GCs, have ALL been able to regain their rightful properties.

You can't have it both ways, by exploiting land and property that does not legally belong to you and at the same time requesting your own land back.

But what the RoC does do is maintain the rightful owner's name on the title deeds, which means they are still the legitimate owners of their property and this can never be denied, and once they have proven themselves to not be in contravention of any RoC laws, then they are free to claim their property without let or hindrance.

What the RoC does not do is issue illegal title deeds or sell property that belongs to TCs. Instead these properties are preserved by a RoC trust and maybe issued as refugee housing but they can never be sold to other parties and neither do the GC residents of those properties have any ownership. This is the opposite to the "trnc" which does issue fake titles and sells stolen GC property to other TCs, Turkish Settlers or Brit Scavengers and this is why your regime is internationally condemned by the UN, EU and ECJ.

Why? do they treat you just as they treat me? why do I have hurdles placed in my way when you dont?

Why don't you give my partner's house back and her grandparent's house back? Why don't you give my Father In Law's Petrollina back?

The RoC is an EU member. As such all citizens are treated equally and the 70,000 TCs who hold RoC citizenship and enjoy the benefits of RoC funded health care can testify to this fact.

So too can the 700 TCs who are living permanently in the ROC, who have already claimed their legitimate properties. Thousands of other TCs living overseas have also done the same and are free to travel to the RoC and enjoy their properties just like any other GC citizen.

There are no obstacles. The obstacles that exist are as a result of the Turkish Invasion and the occupation of Cyprus since over 180,000 GCs were ethnically cleansed from the north and are unable to return to their towns and villages and are unable to access their properties, which may have also been sold illegally to other third parties and with illegal fake property deeds issued against international law.

There are no double standards because the TCs still maintain legal ownership of their land and this ownership is preserved and guaranteed by the RoC and its Land Registry.

If you think you have an ECHR case, then by all means apply. But rest assured, the RoC has covered its bases, and does not deny legal ownership of any property owned by TCs.

How do u know that TC land is tiny? The land owner or thieves told ya?

Easy, I read the details when the story was out and you didn't.

Btw, I even found the lot number but I didn't save it.

Reh Unkie, this would be one for your myth buster site. I really do get pussed off by this LCA pollocks myth.

I know, but they do take up so much of my time and I've got so much other shit to do most days. :?

GR, had you any evidence re: the ownership of the lands on which Larnaca airport was built, it would have been the icing on the cake for you. 'You didnt save the lot number'? You can do better than that GR.

Why don't you get of your lazy but and a bit of your own research.

You will then come to realize that LCA was formerly a RAF Airfield built in the 1930s. if you drive around the perimeter, something I have done, you will notice that most of the airport perimeter fencing is what was originally built by the RAF in WW11.
.

My lazy butt?

GR said he had it and did not record it. I ask him to give us the icing on the cake. He knew where he found it, its up to him to support his above statement and not me. I am making no claims here.

GC or TC, it makes no difference to me!

IMO there are ONLY two sides: the CYPRIOTS and the ANTICYPRIOTS.

Choose your side. It's up to you!

I am with the CYPRIOTS! :D

Long live the RoC!
