Britain still has unfulfilled obligations to the Cypriot people.

If you want any respect from Cypriots, then surely Britain can fulfill these obligations and correct the damage it has caused.

Only then will Britain earn the respect of Cypriots.

Let's face it guys. What the Turks did to Famagusta (a town full of empty hotels) the GCs are now doing to the rest of the island.

I have not read the full thread, but you mentioned my country (Spain) despectively a couble of times, so you made me angry. In fact every year we have a lot of drunken assholes going up and down our streets vandalizing but last years they use to finish the night in our police stations,
On the other hand I don't understand those ones that say that the prices in Cyrpus are expensive. I had been in Cyprus four times in the last 9 years and I allways found the prices of bars, restaurants and so on cheaper than the ones here in Spain, maybe it is because I have friends in Cyprus and use to go to "not touristic places" but even the hotel fares are far cheaper than in Spain so I really cannot understand your complaints.
If I was a british with a limited budget I'll rather go to Cyprus that to Spain, here everything is expensiver even for us the Spaniards,

It doesn't all just revolve around you blinkered Brits and your essential annual holiday getaways from the land of damp weather, rotting society and defunct politics.

It's not the empty hotels which bother the GCs in Famagusta ... it's the fact children, elders, whole families cannot go back to their rightful homes....
