As I always say, if I was Presidentess ... I would double the cost of all tourist centred pastimes ... :D

Less people, same profit!

You do come up with some rubbish woman dont you .
The con merchants at Paphos will be sooner rather than later be wishing that they run their business properly and not as some shark entrepreneurs.
The rip off merchants ought to weeded out , they are causing immeasurable damage to our tourist industry.
My son and his lady , two weeks ago had a fish meze for lunch at one of the old port restaurants . Their bill , 180 euros . ! A couple of beers and an ice cream . !!
Wait till I get there

Why is it a con?

Just charge more so that the clientele are more "refined"

Applicable to establishments with at least one Mitchelin star , but to a seaside resort where you are served by amateur waiters from Georgia its a rip off.

Michelin Stars!

You deformed corrupt excuse for a Stroumbian ...

I would on point of principle not go anywhere were they "Michelin Star" classified food ... and bear in mind, I have a home in France as well as one in the poshest place in Britain ...

How can you "Michelin Star" rate grilled haloumi or Kalamata olives or Burghouri with yiaourti?

They were charged €51.50 (£46.00) and told me that wasn't the only place where they considered that had been vastly overcharged.

I don't believe this story because the figure is ridiculously high even for the biggest rip-off in Cyprus, and your Euro to CY Pound conversion is suspiciously stupid!

Why is your currency conversion so stupid? :?

€51.50 works out to CY£25.75 not 46!

But anyway, those tourists who have a problem can contact...

By the way, all café and restaurant owners in Cyprus are obliged by the CTO to have a clearly marked price list of all their food and drink outside near the front door, so you don’t even have to enter to know where you stand.
