Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Get rich quick merchants who with any luck might feel the cold draught of the economic downturn, loss of earnings and little or no profit next year.

Are you talking about 5 cakes or 5 slices of cake, it makes a hell of a difference !!

Absolutely Oracle, good riddance to the 'Whingeing Poms', not only that, it's a great pity they didn't take the majority of their like with them, the common attitude seems to be that Cyprus should adhere to THEIR concepts of morality etc when a quick glance at their conduct both home and abroad reveals the destructive nature of their general presence.

There are SOME who adapt themselves to the culture of their host nation and I congratulate them on their respectability in doing so (providing it is out of natural respect rather than the attitude of the condescending), as to the rest....................................................

Get back to your rat-holes in the U.K., your country NEEDS you, it hasn't sunk low enough yet, MORE HELP NEEDED. (IMHO).

Taxi prices are ridiculous... i went out on Saturday night in order NOT to DUI :D Once you sit in the TAXI the charge is already 5 Eur... anyway i spent 50Eur that night on Taxis. IN Greece for 15 Eur i could go from center of Athens all the way to Piraeus... same in Paris, taxis are very cheap.

What a bunch of irresponsible , " I'm alright Jacks " these group of destructive so called Cypriots are .
Are they too stupid to realize that tourism , and mostly British tourism contribute a huge amount in the RoC coffers , the hospitality industry is by far the largest employer of workers and by far the largest contributor to Cyprus's income.
What the hell do they want to turn Cyprus into , a third world country ?
It is the British who have supported our economy and still do , without the Brits Restaurants , Hotels , taxi drivers , supermarkets and practically all other service industries would be collapsing right left and centre.
These individuals have a brain as big as a pin head , what a bunch of Plonkers !

Absolutely milti!

Cyprus is a tourist destination and without tourism the country would almost grind to a halt.

I hope someone wakes up and smell the cheese very soon. A change is needed in tourism in Cyprus - not sure what it is but if CY wants to compete in the future it has to move with the times and make changes.

I grew up in a poverty stricken Cyprus of the 50s , higher education was out of reach of the poor , to earn a meal you had to work your arse out , luxuries consisted of sugar on a wet piece of bread , transport was almost non existent , horse drawn carts were abundant , thousands of Cypriots forced to emigrate in search of a better life , I at the age of 15 having struggled to pay the Limassol Gymnasium annual fees for 3 years came to the UK and received free education.
We need tourism , we are not an industrial nation , we do not manufacture cars , bikes , radios TVs or indeed any electrical goods. The small number of manufacturing business DO NOT generate enough to sustain our economy which is geared towards the service industries , hospitality etc.
