The CIA and Pentagon have been in the assassination business since the early 1950’s, using American hit teams or third parties. For one graphic example, in 1985, the CIA organized an attempt to assassinate Lebanon’s leading Shia cleric, Mohammed Fadlallah, using a truck bomb. The attack failed to blow up Fadlallah, but killed 83 civilians and wounded 240.

What a disgrace

Makes me sick how people think nothing of these western nations killing, murdering and assassinating. I wonder how some would feel if the Chinese equivalent of the CIA murdered Obama or the Prime Minister? Wouldnt like it then would they...

Fake Elections Won’t Bring Peace to Afghanistan

“This week’s presidential election in Afghanistan will be an elaborate piece of political theater designed to show increasingly uneasy Western voters that progress is being made in the war-torn nation after seven years of US-led occupation.
Most Afghans already believe they know who will win the vote: the candidate chosen by the United States and its NATO allies.”

Why Afghans Have No Hope in This Week's Vote

“Like millions of Afghans, I have no hope in the results of this week’s election. In a country ruled by warlords, occupation forces, Taliban insurgency, drug money and guns, no one can expect a legitimate or fair vote.

Among the people on the street, a common sentiment is, ‘Everything has already been decided by the U.S. and NATO, and the real winner has already been picked by the White House and Pentagon.’ Although there are a total of 41 candidates running for president, the vast majority of them are well known faces responsible for the current disastrous situation in Afghanistan.”

Reality Is Its Own Caricature for US in Afghanistan and Pakistan

The problem with U.S.-sponsored elections in Asia and elsewhere in the non-Western world, as in Afghanistan Aug. 20, is that they are sponsored by the United States primarily to legitimize its own presence in the country.

GR this article shows the military presence of the US military around the world.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deployments_of_the_United_States_Military

Are you really suggesting that the presence of the US miltary is really a problem for the Saudis, Turks, British, Germans, Japanese and Spaniads etc and infringes on their human rights?

The United States is not imperialistic as its territory has not increased in the last 100 or so years.

Germany, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Grenada etc are not US territory after the respective conflicts.

The failure of the recent wars is as much the failure of the US and its allies as the failure of the Iraqis and Afghans to get their own houses in order.

Remember after the Serbs surrenderred to the US and her allies, Serbia is not part of the USA and they now enjoy peace.

If the Serbs, German, Japanese, Koreans, Grenadians etc can do it then why can't the Iraqis and Afghans?

In case you did not realise, the Afghan people are direct decedents of Cengiz Han. They have a particular mentality to war which guarantees their survival. It has come down from the man himself.
They are very simple and yet very intelligent rules.
Rules are as follows:
1. Never fight to the death. Live to fight another day.
2. If the side you are fighting with is losing, join the winners. You can't lose.
3. If the side you joined has begun to lose, re-join the new winners.
4. If the side you are defeating wants to re-join you, allow them, they are not traitors, they had no choice, they had to feed their family as well as it will quicken the defeat of your enemy.

The Americans will not know what hit them, when it does. In the daytime, the Afghans will fight with them during the day and with their enemy at night. It will be worst then Vietnam, because they will be defeated by the poorest nation on earth.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't support Taliban. If you've been following recent history, it's the Americans who put Taliban on the map. They are the True supporters of Taliban. Their indiscriminate bombing and the civilians they are killing is the best recruiting agent for the Taliban.
