No interfering foreign military.... Why are you so keen to jump in and undermine the only possible long-term solution to the Cyprus problem?

insan wrote:Btw, what percent of this forum members r diaspora Cypriots? 98%?

No way of telling. How many Cypriots remaining in the north have been totally brainwashed by Turkey's regime? 98%?

And so what if they are from the diaspora? No interfering foreign military can keep them apart there. And they are far less likely to totally brainwashed by Turkey's regime.

According to my observations and examinations; percentage of brainwashed people depends on literacy rate, reading habits and education system of a country or region. Furthermore, there r degrees of being brainwashed. The worst one is those who have no first hand experience and knowledge but yet again base their arguments on galimatias of hearsay and fallacy. These r basket case. It's impossible for these kind of people to base their arguments on rationality. If u try to rationally explain them anything, they respond with raising their voice, talking like a barking dog and insulting.

The second degree of being brainwashed is having a conventional mindset and inability to make logical interpretation. These kind of brainwashed people put forward their opinions based on strong beliefs but have no courage and ability to discuss abt their opinions. When u confront their opinions with strong, rational arguments; they prefer being quite...

Third degree of being brainwashed arise from apathy towards political issues. These kind of people r very much into football, clubbing etc. They don't even wish to talk abt political issues.

I think your brain has not only been washed, it's been hung out to dry and shrunk in the process.

It's u that fully brainwashed and blinded by false knowledge. Let's see where this "I'm not brainwashed but u r brainwashed." will lead us. Galimatias. Here we go, just for fun.

I'd like to remind u that it's been abt 2 years that TC history text-books have been "sanitized" yet GC history text-books r still based on same old brainwashing crap of cold war.

Should we change "turkish invasion" with "turkish peace operation"?

You see the difference between me and you, insan mu, is that I'm NOT here to justify and make apologies for the 'G'C position whereas you are here to do so for the T/'T'C position. That's all you ever do; and that's why I believe you have been brainwashed to some extent.

I am here only to stand for 'The Cypriot' position and I criticise both perceived 'sides' with equal venom whenever I deem it appropriate. Byron, Epsilon, Paphitis in particular will vouch for that, as well as one or two others.

As for the text-books, I personally guarantee you that in the free areas of Cyprus not all are the same old brainwashing crap of cold war, not by any means.

U r wrong abt that I'm trying to justify TC side. On most of the issues, my opinions and arguments don't have much similarities with any of the others; official, unofficial, TC, GC, Turk, Greek or any other nationalities. U could have easily gathered my view point and attitude of mind if u have examined my posts well.

I couldn't have sensed much noble merits from ur postings... U locked ur mind around "Cypriots of muslim extract". Others? What extract r they from? Orthodox, Atheist, Budist etc? How many Cypriots define themselves how u define them?

Perhaps it's just been your most recent posts then... although admittedly some are totally off the planet.

What better way to describe someone from Cyprus whose parents adhered to the Muslim faith, and had done so for generations. It's so unloaded. It's just a statement of fact to differentiate them from Cypriots of Christian extraction.

Mainly orthodox Christian extraction... but it's a shame we have to label Cypriots at all in my view. If you're from Cyprus, you're Cypriot. That's how it can be when the foreign soldiers have gone and the whole island can proudly take its place in the EU as an undivided country.

I don't know I haven't done a survey. Does it matter? What matters is things need to change in Cyprus. Most people realise this.

It's like asking Copernicus, how many people believe in your 'heliocentric' universe? No one apart from you? There, you see? The earth IS still the centre of everything despite your ridiculous theories.
