I absolutely love this phone! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a serious phone, but not for those looking for good multimedia functions since those come second with the E71.
It's very stable, it rarely ever crashes or freezes, multitasking is great and the 3.5g is lightning fast. I already have google maps and it works pretty well though not as good as iphone in this instance because of the smaller screen. The internet is cool but again it can get difficult without touchscreen but theres many ways round it. I prefer the skyfire browser or opera mini and they're both free to download.
When I first got it I hated the small buttons, but now I'm totally used to it and I don't get many errors when typing. The size is nothing compared to the iphone or blackberry so it wasn't much of an issue for me. The email is good and you have so many different options to choose from, for the time being there is no html email though, Nokia messaging has this feature but their email retrieval is abysmal so I deleted it within the first few minutes of downloading. I'm using 'seven' at the moment, it's very reliable and just a good all round solution to email.
There were some issues with the E71 when it first came out with certain people getting no signal unless the phone was turned upside down.
The antenna is at the bottom of the phone and this caused a problem for some devices, though I've not had this issue and my phone has a connection even in places with little network coverage. Don't let that put you off, just make sure to look out for it if you do decide to get it and make sure you buy the phone unbranded!!!
Overall it's a great phone, much more reliable than the iphone and a much better phone than the iphone. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it's entertainment factor but I haven't rushed to buy it back, nor do I plan on doing so..
