Politics....hmmm...dont you have to be some kind of indirect crook to be one! Bent mps etc in the uk....you cant tell me cyprus dont have bent politicians and policemen...hmmm.
Z4 i moved here thinking the children would have a better education. Not so! in my opinion anyway.
As for the recession ONLY being in the uk...its here too and it will get worse. People who have retired here from the uk are feeling the pinch. Tourism is on the decline... house prices are rapidly falling. The recession is global! It isnt that easy to get work here either. My18 year old has tried and its very difficult to find work for a decent wage.

I have only lived in Windsor for 6 years... i was raised in Streatham.. i know about crime and muggings etc and chose to move out of London for the sake of my small kids.

And you are basing this assumption on one school? There are many private schools in Cyprus. For University, yes I left to study abroad, but for high school.... there is not that much difference. I'm very grateful to have grown up in Cyprus and studied abroad.

As I said, many of the students of the private school I attended were accepted into some of the top universities in the UK and US and Cyprus actually has a record of very impressive GCE scores, so i'm not sure where you're pulling your data from. Personally, I don't think your reason is valid... but to each his own, you seem convinced... enjoy the UK. I work very close to Windsor, nice place, pitty about the miserable weather. But do you really expect your kids to stick to Windsor? It's not exactly exciting .... they will want to catch the train to central as soon as they're old enough.

Streatham ... yikes :S

I know Woodbourne avenue and " cats whiskers " now called Caesars .
I moved to Streatham in December 1961 , lived in Wyatt Park Road , then in Cricklade Avenue where I bought my first house in 1967 !!
I loved Streatham then. I met my wife on November 22nd 1963 the day John Kennedy was assassinated. We met in the Locarno , now of course Caesars. I was the Twist Champion in 1963   , thats how I ended up with the most gorgeous girl who is now my wife. So gorgeous she was and such a brilliant ..twister I was   I met colonel Cullan in the Locarno , the notorious Angolan mercenary !!
Tell me more about your time in Streatham , I bet I know you !!
