The Turks invaded for one simple reason EXPANSIONISM. How do you think the Turkish minority was created on our island? From a previous Turkish invasion when they killed many 1000s of Cypriots and then they brought the Turks on our island and gave them the land they stole from us. Just like they did again in 1974. Did we ever invade the Turks? NO It is the Turks who keep invading us, keep killing us, steal our lands and give it to their Settlers. And after some time they call their Settlers "Cypriots" And Grivas never said such thing you fucking moron. Grivas was dead before the events of 74. No Turk was killed in 74 before the Turkish invasion. The Turks invaded first and only after we fought back. If it wasn't for the Turkish aggression and expansionism Cyprus would be a peaceful democratic country without any Turks to create conflicts and problems.

Well, the leader of the orchestra was interviewed recently along with one of the Turkish Cypriot musicians in the orchestra on CyBC's Biz/Emeis television programme, and he was very positive about the message conveyed by having mainland Turkish musicians and musicians from other neighbouring countries perform.
