A SOLUTION WOULD NOT BE FOUND WITHOUT TURKISH GUARANTEES

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

We're going round in circles, VP. You may get off on it, but I don't. It's a non-starter. Forget it. There is no point arguing. It's getting stale-mate!

Thats the Cyprus all over, stale-mate.

At least I'm trying though!

Yes you are very trying

I can imagine me engineering a scenario that might require her intervention!

That's rather a large (painful) prick she can impart with that syringe

VP, do you agree, in principle, to NATO security? IF you receive sufficient assurances that your security will be safeguarded?

Viewpoint wrote:What if Turkey guarantee only covered the TC state as TCs will not let go of this life line if things shoudl go wrong.

I, personally, would not be able to agree to Turkey having any intervention rights anywhere in Cyprus. Sorry. That's how I feel. I doubt there are many free Cypriots who will feel differently. Same for Greece. Same for Britain. We just don't want them.

But all three could have intervention rights throughout the whole island – through NATO – until the situation on the island stabilised.

Answer this, otherwise I'm going to stop: promise...

Maybe it's just placebo, but it's that white cross on the red background I'm most attracted to... so much nicer than the crescent moon we've got used to -all over the north....

You put forward whom you think we should trust but you have no idea how they will intervene or if they will intervene in time to save lives, doesnt really instill any confidence in placing our lives in their hands.

So you're not really serious about looking for alternatives are you? You're just playing your old stupid games... You know full well that the majority of Cypriots will NEVER, EVER accept Turkey as a guarantor after the horrors of 1974; so you keep insisting on it. So that we get nowhere; so you can say:

"See? We can't have a solution? We have to partition the island."

NEVER, EVER. Geddit?

You need to persuade me to dump Turkeys guarantee not the other way around. What if Turkey guarantee only covered the TC state as TCs will not let go of this life line if things shoudl go wrong.

You got to give up the political steroids sooner rather than later, before they amputate your future.

Why? You want us to dump our lifeline but put forward no concrete reasons as to how to address the TCs concerns, again you revert to sarcasm which as we all know is counter productive to positive debate.

Your still in debate mode after 35 years? I think your more in denial mode looking to grab whatever you can get because of the latest judgment. Mind me...........keep debating if thats what makes you happy.

You've got it all wrong, O. VP is now betrothed to young Byron. I think she was attracted to his superior brain power. I conducted the ceremony on Saturday...

I will not be able to accept NATO as a Guarantor that will step in in times of crisis sorry but thats how I feel it is a matter of placing ones well being in the hands of someone you trust and many TCs will not back this alternative.
