As far as I know, there is a public rubbish tip on the edges of Limassol. You head out on the road to Fasoula and turn right about a mile past the highway. There is a small hut at the entrance where you pay a fee, then you can dump whatever you like there.
My municipality (Agios Athanasios) occasionally announces collections of bulk rubbish when they pick up this kind of thing from in front of your house. If your municipality does this kind of thing, you could simply wait for the next bulk collection.
Your local town hall may be able to give you advice.

I would recommend that you inquire at your local town hall. They may be able to advise you as to the best course of action.
