Respect The Fallen - Friend and Foe alike!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Respect The Fallen - Friend and Foe alike!

Postby Paphitis » Thu May 07, 2009 12:14 pm

This from one of our Greatest Military Strategists in History:

"Before battle, he would ride down the ranks, and call aloud by name, [those men] who in previous battles had performed conspicuous deeds of valor." Being praised before his comrades by the commander himself in this manner must have been a major morale booster for a soldier. After the battle he would care for his wounded men, give the fallen - both friend and foe alike - a splendid military funeral and praise those who had shown bravery in battle.

So, my dear compatriots, what has changed since then?

Why have we regressed as a nation and people? :?

Was this from Alexander the great? Those who are in military want to have respect either they win or lose. I wouldn't expect anything else from them! Respect from me goes to those who fight for freedom, democracy and human rights! Those who fight for expansionism and to oppress others don't have my respect. I think we should progress and reject the negative things of the past!

Should we setup a memorial for the fallen mehmetchik that died in Cyprus as well?

Paphiti mate... let it go. Acknowledge your mistake, apologise... and let it go. Cypriots are a forgiving people.

But if the fighting does kick off and we're in need of some cannon fodder, then we'll let you know.

I meant in Cyprus, not in your little army camp.

Is it a memorial for the drugged-up rapists that fell too? Or do they have their own special monument?

Why not, that one is for how not to soldier.

I don't mean to bring up a sore subject but can we have some figures as to how many people were raped? so we can establish of the 40000 soldiers how many were rapists, not that there is a single nation whose army does not practice this act.

You can't keep throwing that one at the whole army.

This idea that Mehmetcik is not brave but drugged up is a myth and you know it.

You want to disprove this fact go ahead..

I'll ask my mother in law how many abortions she carried out after the invasion.
