NO, they were not only Hawaiians who owned land.!
Who ever had land, it remained as theirs in Hawaii, and as a State, they all became part of the USA as a political equal state with 2 senate seats in the Upper House which did not mean they had to be Hawaiians to occupy those two seats..
If as you yourself say the country ownership belongs to the all the people then TCs also have a share of this country, therefore country ownership and private land ownership are 2 different things.
No one has said anything to the contrary to all of your above points.!..So.??
GCs can own land in a TC state and vice versa
That is also true.!
is does not detract from the fact that TCs can use their right in country ownership to say we are unable to make it work together so we agree to divide up our joint ownership.
What TC rights are you talking about in regards to split their share of "ownership" from the rest of the citizens share of Cyprus. I suppose you can ask, but if the other share holders do not agree with you, then you are stuck, since the other holders are the majority share holders.
If what you are asking were to be possible, you are not going to like how much land will be offered to you, as your "share". Right now, the TC "share" is about 4% of all state land and about 6% TC personal land located in the "trnc", therefore, the most you can expect to have as a TC state in the north, cannot be more than 10%, because the other 6% of TC land personal ownership lies in the south, but they cannot take that land with them, therefore, they will have the chance to
a) sell the land and move to the north state
b) keep the land as we have agreed earlier
Those are the choices. You cannot take this 6% of TC land in the south and make it part of the north state, because you cannot move it. Therefore, if you want to do what you think is a good idea to take your "share" of the state land and the private land, you can ONLY have 10% of land all as one piece and also 6% of personal land in the south scattered everywhere in the south.
Where in the world has the size of a country been governed by the size of populaiton of private land ownership.
I do not understand your question.........sorry.!
If the TC state is 29% for example GCs will still have the right to their private properties and to reside in the Tc state.
Only if the other "shareholders" of the state land are willing to give you 29%. I've told you, that 10% is the most you should expect in the north as a state which includes your "share" of the state land and personal land, and another 6% land all over in the south. But lets just say that the other "shareholders" want to go along with your plan and make the north state 29%, which would mean, there is no south state land "share" in the north, therefore, anything over 10% of land can only be GC private land, which they might come and live on their properties or just retain ownership and live in the south, if they were to trust you, that you will not one day ask for independence for the north and take their land with you, not that you would ever dream of taking the GC's land and selling it to others.!!!!, As a consequence, don't expect the GC's wanting to leave their land to become part of the north state when ever possible.!!!!
