How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Nothing :!: Do you really think they would shoot a civilian airliner out of the sky? And say what....sorry....accident. They will guide it out of their airspace if it would ever fly over Turkey in the first place. Cyprus Airways would not even take the risk flying over Turkey airspace at this moment.

How are they going to guide it out of their airspace? Tie the plane with a chain and pull it? Wouldn't they threaten the plane that if it doesn't get out of their airspace they will shoot it down?

As I said before.......a bullshit discussion. Now tell me Sotos....when was the last time a Cyprus Airways aircraft flew into Turkish airspace and got threatened?

They don't fly over Turkish airspace because the Turks have no problem to shoot down an airliner. They even create problems to our airplanes outside of their airspace.

They have been creating problems for years in this part of airspace. Dogfights will be going on as we write about this. I personally do not believe that a civilian aircraft will be shot at for flying a normal route. I flew into military airspace by accident here in the Netherlands and was guided out by the control tower.

I like going off a tangent.

For how many years the Germans were accused of sinking an innocent passenger liner, 'the Lusitania'. For years they were condemned of barbarism never seen before. What do we have now. The Lusitania was indeed carrying weaponry thus a legitimate target for the Germans.

I am now thinking of what reasons/excuses the RoC would have to shoot down a Turkish Airliner. Perhaps an illegal cargo of 'Sadrazam Sucugu'.

I expected more sense from Bafidis.

It must be the Aussie in him.

That's even more shocking than civilian aircraft being shot down!

But anyway, you don’t have to shoot them down to get your way if that’s the intention. Aircraft can be easily bullied by fighter jets flying on their sides and forcing them to change course and/or land elsewhere… etc.

You don’t have to destroy it to make a point.
