Letter to MP concerning Apostolides v Orams

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Dr J » Mon Aug 10, 2009 12:01 am

It started in 1963 because you wanted them to start. People like you wanted segregation and then cry that its not fair they you impose embargoes on yourselves.

Your not going to force two states - if anything there will be another war soon and this oil issue will spark it off. We'll see what will happen.

So Akritas was something our Muhtar just cooked up then was it?
Change you name to Dr Nohope.
As to another war? Dream on. Somehow I don't think you current leaders are as stupid as you.

Akritas was a plan to bring Turkish Cypriot rights into line with the rest of the Cypriot population. It was Turkish Cypriot leaders who walked out of government, they were not ejected like Turkish propaganda tells us.

If you think the current leaders arent so stupid then what are YOUR leaders from Turkey doing harassing ships in Cypriot waters looking for oil or flying jets over Greek airspace? Dont you read the news??

Read between the lines and you will see what the Akritas plan was about and why it has been kept from the Cypriots for so long.
As to the ships, if you are so stupid to look for oil without an agreement with TCs and Turkey, just prey to your god you don't find any.
You would think the Greeks would learn from past mistakes, but some people will never learn.

But why should Turkey have a say?

What have the Greeks got to do with it?

If RoC can sign agreement with Egypt, Lebanon and Israel regarding oil, you don't see why Turkey should have a say?
Greeks because they made the same mistake decades ago and have just realised that talking is the only way forward. GCs do have a certain amount of genetic material from the main land and all that.

So what your telling me is that you have never seen the Akritas plan? Therefore, claims that it was for a 'Turkish Cypriot genocide' have absoloutely NO credibility and basically more propaganda.

As to the ships, if you are so stupid to look for oil without an agreement with TCs and Turkey, just prey to your god you don't find any.

HAHAHAHA this takes the biscuit. You have been raping, destroying and pillaging the north for so long without the say of its owners, the REAL Cypriots for so long - banging on about two separate states. NOW - you complain about not asking for permission from Turkey for searching for oil in territorial waters in the south! You really take the piss! LOL

If RoC can sign agreement with Egypt, Lebanon and Israel regarding oil, you don't see why Turkey should have a say?

Why should Turkey have a say if they are not in neighboring waters to it ???[/quote]

No. Cypriots in the north may be entitled to a say... especially after reunification. But not Turkey. Unless Cyprus signs an agreement.

What's genetics got to do with it? Do you mean Greeks or Greek Cypriots? And if you mean Greek Cypriots, do you include Maronites, Armenians and other citizens of the republic who may not be entirely happy to be labelled as such?

If talking is the only way forward then I suggest we choose our words more carefully.
