and here is the july agreement between 2 leaders

Joint Statement
By Greek Cypriot Leader Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot Leader Mehmet Ali Talat
On 1 July 2008
“The two Leaders met today in a positive and cooperative atmosphere.
They undertook a first review of the work of the Working Groups and Technical Committees.
They discussed the issues of single sovereignty and citizenship which they agreed in principle. They agreed to discuss the details of their implementation during the full-fledged negotiations.
They agreed to meet on 25 July when they will undertake the final review of the Working Groups and Technical Committees.”

I think the Propagandists Halil and VP have jumped on an error by a hack at this UN journal,

This is the relevant section from the UN's Security Council

(from http://www.un.int/cyprus/scr1251.htm )

RESOLUTION 1251 (1999)

Adopted by the Security Council
on 25 June 1999

11. Reaffirms its position that a Cyprus settlement must be based on a State of Cyprus with a single sovereignty and international personality and a single citizenship, with its independence and territorial integrity safeguarded, and comprising two politically equal communities as described in the relevant Security Council resolutions, in a bi-communal and bi-zonal federation, and that such a settlement must exclude union in whole or in part with any other country or any form of partition or secession;

(Oh dear I seem to have answered VP's question for him.)

In any event pheck off UN! The tide has changed and it's a EUROPEAN TIDE that will wash away the nonsenses of some of our northern friends.

before the AP and your rejection, new issues have bene intrduced and accepted the last message is....The partnership will comprise a Federal Government with a single international personality, along with a Turkish Cypriot Constituent State and a Greek Cypriot Constituent State, which will be of equal status
