Lord Andrew Adonis ...sounds like a porn star

I read that there is a Greek Cypriot Lord...What is he the minister for fish,chips,sheftalies and souvlouthia?

Yes, Adonis has a Greek Cypriot father and an English mother.

He has been appointed as a junior minister in the education dept (I think). For that he had to be made a Lord as he is not an MP.

I guess the TC's, in the spirit of political equality, will be lobbying the british government to have a TC junior minister in the Blair government!

Well some T.Cs are already in important posts. The UK ambassador to Iceland is a T.C. And two T.Cs were candidates in the last general elections. I have voted for a Greek anyway :D

Will never happen, there is more chance of the cow jumping over the moon than a cypriot becoming u.k PM.
