How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

So, you will bash a few Brits over the head eventually, do you think that this will help the peace process?
Or do you now believe that there is no need for the peace process, you will get justice in the EU courts?

My dear Fredoulla, if someone pinches something from you do you...

A. Get them hauled before the Courts ?

OR

B. Negotiate with the thieving scumbag ?

Billo,

Plz tell me what's the difference of "thieves" on both sides of the islands that under defacto situation they have been occupying, buying, selling, using(with or without any international restrictions) the "stolen" lands and properties belong to others?

My dear Insan,

The view that is expressed by almost everyone here over the years, time and time again, is that there can be no objection to people taking temporary refuge in the property of others. I certainly share this opinion.

...BUT.... the issuing of dodgy, photoshopped kochans and setting up an industry that deals in stolen property as has been the outrageous norm in the Occupied North is attempted theft, as reaffirmed by Europe's "Supreme Court" this week.

I'm surprised that you amongst our northern friends felt the impulse to post what you did.

Bill, put yourself in the position of the TC who lost his land in the south, waited for 30 years and gave up and sold what he had. Are you blind, he still has the property in the south, which can be used for exchange. This is all one sided, you will find 99% TC will not support it. I don't know any TC who agrees with this judgment outside of this forum.

So the whole of international law, the UN, the EU, its institutions, laws and judgements which has found the Turkish side guilty on all counts, every time, has somehow got it wrong? Every time. Well, well. That is a terrible losing streak you've been having. Shall we put it down to bad luck?

There would have been nothing wrong with the verdicts of international courts if they also refered to the defacto situation and 46 years of negotiation process to find a mutually acceptable solution to Cyprus Problem on the basis of BBF. Had TCs owned their land in North or had there been no economic sanctions on TC refugees; be sure none of them would have sold lands or properties belong to GCs.

In a small island, even in a world where illiteracy and self-interests rule, such ridiculous court verdicts r not surprizing.

What's yours is yours, What's mine is mine. Whether people don't like it isn't terribly relevent. Laws are laws mate. 30 years? It's nothing to real Cys.

Every individual has some rights. It's a basic human right to own property and to enjoy one's property without interference (outside such things as planning laws) from states, governments and "negotiations".

You're making the simple, common mistake of connecting these property rights with the plonkish negotiations.

No titty man you got it wrong...Greece screwed it up, cypriots resisted, hence the inside fighting, but Turkey had a chance to get it right under her obligations, but took advantage of the situation to get us to where we are today by screwing the situation even further...according to what she signed as a guarantor country

But all three assholes let us down as guarantor powers...some guarantor powers I may add...
