A way to stop any more Apostolides type actions?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby roseandchan » Thu Apr 30, 2009 9:51 am

don't limited companies still have to have a director and secretary, who would be liable for the company?
last time we had a uk ltd company i think that was the case. i'm not sure about other countries laws on ltd's.

my feeling are it would be best for both sides to sit down and look at the numbers of people who want to make claims from both sides and try and work something out together.

This thread and discussion is wrongly titled. None of this is "a way to stop any more Apostolides type actions." The discussion has largely been about trying to prevent seizure of assets and, frankly, if that's what you want to do you need to go to clever tax and corporate lawyers and accountants - hand over large wads of cash - and issue the instruction "Hide my loot." At best this is attempting to close the gate after the horse has bolted. Whatever, this has nothing to do with Apostolides type actions, let alone stopping more such actions !

Any physical person who occupies a property will be liable even if the property is "purchased" in the name of a limited company.

a. their full name,
b. address of the property they are currently tresspassing on and
c. details of any property or other assets within the EU that can be attached to satisfy a judgment

MrT, can you help us out here?

Mr T.
I would be interested to know the premise.... that makes you believe it would be a problem.......... in this instance.

What are you talking about ? Write plain and simple English so that everyone can understand.

If you do not understand the legal term " lifting the veil of incorporation" I suggest you take a short course in English Company Law, try buying Smith & Keenan, I would recommend it for beginners !

We can just remain as the TRNC, how will GCs get back their land? Compensation is about as good as it will get.

There is nothing I can do to help you as this is plain and simple English other than to suggest you purchase ( this means 'buy') a dictionary if any of my words are too difficult (hard) for you to understand.

I vaguely remember having a copy of the book you mention when I studied law.

Please have the guts to respond to my comment with a legal argument.

That is not fair.

Anorexia is dreadful illness to suffer from so it has to be the weakling. Tasty fatty food and regular workouts at the gym should help.

Try entering Salomon v Salomon & Co in Google and a good website should answer your question.

It would, of course, not matter what English law says as It would be TRNC
law that would dictate matters.
