sounds like lots of websites are down here in the north, mine has been for a few days but is up and running now.
i didn't know until someone just emailed me.

GR, If you love a country, you love regardless of all its ups and downs. You ought to know that. Do you live in the perfect country?

I did say "non-TC people" because I wanted to remove the emotional attachment and thus tolerance that locals have, but foreigners??? It's beyond me.

If you adopted a child, would you love them less than your own? Are you incapable?

I've never been in that situation before and I think it is one that needs to be experienced before commenting on it... having biological kids is a very powerful emotion.

One or two further interesting things have come to light as a result of the judgment on the Orams case. I have been told today, by a well respected Turkish Cypriot here on the island that:-

The new government, that is to take up power tomorrow, have stated that, if the decision is implemented then it will mean the end of any talks between both sides on reuniting the island. Now I can't imagine that the EU wants this to happen.

The EU court is made up of senior judges from every member country. Again, I am told, that the Danish judge has said that he and therefore Denmark, do not recognise the judgment as being valid. Interesting outcome.

This whole business is a long way from over

Once again he is making anal remarks since I imagine the decision to implement the ECJ ruling will come from individuals rather than the ROC Government. The view of the Danish judge must be that of a minority otherwise the Court would not have decided as it did.
