British Couple Must Demolish Cyprus Home, EU Top Court Says

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Do you think VP could really be a woman, O?

Somehow, that would make it even more annoying.

Just so we can get an idea, what would the price of a GC lot be if it could fetch say 100,000 had it been TC?

I would say about just over half, but I am thinking of prices in 1990s not now. I wouldn't know what the comparisons are now.

VP's annoying "might-is-right" approach reminds me of Jack Palance in the movie Shane...

No, YFred, the only problem is that you and your ilk want to deny GCs their inalienable human rights - and you are finding that it is becoming really difficult for you to do so.

This all for nothing will lead to nothing.

It probably will lead to nothing, YFred - nothing for those who have no right to be on Cyprus, like the settlers and the usurpers and the 40,000 turkish troops that prop up an illegal and inhumane regime.

You seem to be in denial - but you had better wake up - while you were sleeping the tide started to turn.

Right, so about 60% of what a TC property would get...

Re Kipreo, you are being too harsh on VP, you weren’t in Cyprus between 1963 to 74. You'll find your Oracle is 10 times worse.

Let's not be sexist ... But the issue is whether it is deception, I suppose :?

When I first joined, Viewpoint was really bitchy to me in a way which reminded me of my girls' high school. "She" has since gone into the huff and will not reply to any posts I make since her bad language was reprimanded by the Moderators/Admin.

Pyrpolizer was always convinced VP is female-ish and even Kifeas was under her spell once ....

Kifeas wrote:I am one of the people that have often argued and even harshly criticized Viewpoint for her views, but I have a feeling that this prolonged and massive picking up and “attack” on the person and the identity and capacity under which she was posting, was not necessary and fair, as it went beyond the mere views she was expressing and touched on other personal and private elements of the person.

Whatever viewpoint is, it is none of our business but only hers, and it shouldn’t have become the subject of such long “debates” and commenting.

Even though I often argued and disagreed with what she was saying, I have to say that I found Viewpoint to be an educated person with depth and values, and almost always I could often read between the lines of her posts that she was struggling with her own consciousness and cognition on the one hand, and her other need to unconditionally defend the historical and officially established Turkish and TC leadership positions. That however doesn’t mean that she works for or she is employed by the Turkish propaganda machinery, and even so, why should it matter?

I think Kikapu has a working hypothesis that "VP" is a husband and wife double act ....

In which case, I would agree that the "brains" with poorer English is hubby, and the "bitch" with better(?) English is wifey ...

YFred, it's not that I'm unsympathetic to the plight of your average TC (as I know most of you still like to be called) trying to live through that troubled period - far from it.

It's just VP's approach that annoys me.

I live in the land of the divide-and-rule imperialists. They have a lot to answer for. But I don't use every opportunity in my interaction with British people, the majority of whom weren't even alive in the 50's, to show my contempt and wind them up about it.

O has her moments... but she has an affectionate side too. Not like VP.
