Got that the wrong way round, weeping willow. More like as popular as a gay disabled Jewish gypsy at a Neo-Nazi rally.

Short of coming over and kicking the Orams out and facing the TRNC authorities how will that exactly happen anna, can you enlighten us all?

"Can you enlighten us?" You nasty piece of work...

The suggestion is that VP's "might-is-right" army will prevent the displaced refugee from reclaiming what is rightfully his. As if we weren't aware of the foreign army's presence.

He won't come, VP. Rest easy. He knows he faces a bullet in the head like that poor soul who had the audacity to pull down a red and white cloth dangling from a pole. You won't get to see his blood, VP... though, unless you really are inhuman, you should know it's the same colour as yours.

But his return isn't the issue. The Orams's stolen property has been rendered worthless. As has any other property existing or subsequently built on land belonging to refugees who fled in 1974. And no amount of US-made bullets sold on the cheap to Turkey's military can change that.

Coming from you Ill take that as a compliment as name calling is the lowest form of inteliigence.

Rendered worthless?, they have had offers for it all ready its become a landmark and everyone wants to see it, thanks Mr Apolositisiedoupoulus or whatever his name is the house has become a tourist attraction.

You deserved it. It was nasty. Like quite a few of your posts. I decided not to let it go for once.

You're the deranged individual - and what's worse you can't spell it. The refugee is of no threat to anyone's life.

You have no respect for the rule of law and then you wonder why I accuse you of being a nasty piece of work. Is that what you think of European Court of Justice verdicts? What if the ruling had gone the other way? Would it still be toilet paper? (I don't really want an answer; whatever you say will just annoy me. I'm actually quite an amenable guy and find common ground with most people.... but you, VP? You just annoy me.

God you're so annoying. And, that's why you do it isn't it? Just to annoy people. So that they despise you; and lose their rag with you. And then you can turn around and say, see? How can we live together? You hate me!

Most of the land in what you annoyingly describe as your own country belongs to displaced refugees.

In the (late) 1960's I was in shorts, grazing my knees and learning to walk in London so what happened then in Cyprus had nothing to do with me or anyone under the age of 50, which is the majority of Cypriots alive today... God you're so annoying. Seriously. Have you any idea how annoying you are?

Anyway, I don't want to argue with you tonight because it's a futile exercise. I was just annoyed with your tone. I usually am, but for once thought I'd get it off my chest.

God, I'd hate to be your secretary. Have to put right all your sloppy mistakes and put up with all your annoying habits. Poor woman.

The owners wouldnt be coming into TRNC if there was a fair and just settlement, they would be coming home to their property in Cyprus. Thats where they have a right to be as do you if you are Turkish Cypriot. If however you are a Turkish settler you do not have a right to Cyprus land just like the Orams but they are not the guilty party. The Turkish developers who chose to hide the fact that they were building on land that did not belong to them are the ones at fault here.
As for all your gloating about the Turkish Army, history will show you that they will only be there while it suits them. As soon as it is more in their interest to leave the Turks will be gone and all your bravado will count for nothing.
Maybe then Turkish & Greek Cypriots will get back to living together without outside interference and agitation and share this beautiful island in peace. It wont be easy with all the animosity stirred up by people like yourself but lets hope the sane majority will win through this time, if the superpowers will leave us alone for long enough. One island and one people , multicultural but all CYPRIOTS is something worth striving for.

Kensmessenger, I don't think there is anybody who didn't know that they were buying GC land, if nothing else the price would have given it away. The Orams or the TC who sold it to them are not really at fault. The two Cypriot governments are at fault. Put yourself in the TC's position, having lost land in the south, he was given a piece of land in the north, he waited for 30 years to have an agreement which never came. So he sold got what he could and probably immigrated. In effect he sold his land in the south to the Orams. I just do not see why people do not see it for what it is. If there is an agreement, I am sure the owner would be compensated, however how it's turned out, I doubt that he will be able to set foot in the north, especially if this case results in the collapse of the construction industry in the north as it has always been the RoC’s wish and is being predicted now, there will be a lot of angry people in the north.

The only other problem is that GCs believe that everyone should be able to go back to their homes. Again this is the GC politicians fault for not preparing their population for a realistic agreement. This all for nothing will lead to nothing.

That there is a major land dispute in Cyprus (as a result of 1974) is an old and well-known story, so the onus is definitely with the buyer because the Orams could’ve easily checked the status of the lot with the Dep. of Land & Admin but they didn’t.
