I feel extremely happy for YOU, Mr. Apostolides. Every Greek Cypriot, well, perhaps with the exception of two, is overjoyed today with this judgment!!

Try and focus, nurseawful: The "court in Europe" in this case did not rule on a country, it ruled on a matter within EU jurisdiction. The entire land of Cyprus is within the EU. The case is about confirming that the EU-wide law according to which decisions on debt-recovery cases made by a court in one EU country are enforceable evrywhere in the EU, even if they involve property in the "Trnc".

So you are not a TC, you are a Turk, and you recognise that the TRNC does not exist to any country other than Turkey. You do not live with embargoes, embargoes are declared on recognised countries. What you live with is your leadership's refusal to allow any trade via the RoC.

It will be interesting to see whether the Russians along with the Israelis will continue their "property" investment in occupied Cyprus.
This judgement has put PAID on further construction and sales of property in occupied Cyprus .

Do you know that some of these Israelis are in business with secret GC partners?

Nothing would surprise me VP , unscroupulous opportunists exist everywhere .

Not according to western reputable news agencies. And i am happy, very happy. Nothing you say can change it. I know your upset today. I and every forum contributor here can tell. So is YFred. You were hoping for a different judgment. You can not deny it. I am overjoyed, VP, that some justice has finally been served.

You may now say what you will but i will still be smiling for i do not care what you or your sidekick has to say.

When Cyprus joined the EU in 2004 the whole island was included, with EU law simply suspended in the north until the legitimate government is able to exercise effective control. It doesn't at this time which means the Cypriot court can't force the Orams to knock down the house that they built on a refugee's land.

What the Cypriot court can do, as a result of this European Court of Justice ruling, is to enable the refugee to claim compensation for the loss of his land, against assets that the Orams have in another EU country, ie. the UK (where apparently the Orams own a house).

Unhappily for you, those parts of your beloved 'TRNC', which belonged to refugees escaping the troubles in 1974, and wrongly sold on to EU nationals (including I might add Turkish Cypriots) with EU assets, are now very much haram.
