Hi can anyone help me get air out of the pipes in my swimming pool, for some reason the water wont return from the main drain pipe back through the pump?. Ive tried priming pump by taking lid off filling with hosepipe putting lid back on at least twenty times no luck, Ive two valves on the top of sand filter and one valve on skimmer and one valve on main drain the pump house is higher than the pool if that helps.

Have you tried unscewing the valve on top of the sand filter; the air should vent from there; then re-tighten it,

Is your water level in the pool ok? I had a similar problem and it was because the water level was too low
