ANIMAL POISONING WARNING.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

ANIMAL POISONING WARNING.

Postby Rojamo » Sun Apr 26, 2009 1:24 pm

Please be aware that a spate of poisoning is currently occuring in the SOUNI Area. On Wednesday 15th April two of my dogs were poisoned from the grass verges in Kiriakos Matsis Street, but were lucky as I got them to a vet quickly and they survived. Regretably friends of mine also had their dog poisoned on the same day but sadly it died, as well as two cats, a fox and numerous birds. This was caused by poisoned meat being laid near the main crossroads leading into Souni/Country Rose etc. So be careful where you walk your pets and keep them on a lead.

Pleased your pets were ok ... and that these were not deliberate poisonings but part of the outdated farming habits (very common here in UK too! ).

Best thing is to place a muzzle on your dog when out walking near fields. Also keep cats well fed from home, before allowing outside, as their natural fussiness should stop them nibbling.

You see, Cypriots never poison animals deliberately. In fact, if oracle was an animal, she would pray she lived in Cyprus, among animal-loving, big hearted Cypriots.

Please excuse Bananiot's Poison mind .... He prays daily that Cypriots be punished, for daring to exist!

Only those that poison animals (and those that poison the minds of people, especially children). By the way, when an animal is poisoned, it is never its fault.

Appreciate your replies, but sorry to disagree with the outdated farm method theory. This was poison deliberately laid as there is no farmland in the areas concerned, and a couple of weeks ago other friends had two dogs poisoned by fish heads laced with Lanate placed outside a house that had chickens. Our pets are being blamed for chickens being taken, which is probably by a pack of stray dogs running loose around here, which have been dumped over a period of time.

Poisoning

Postby Selena79 » Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:18 am

Our dog got poisoned yesterday moring in Nicosia, Agios Andreas area. No farming area or similar, the posion was placed just on the street. 2 birds died as well.

Our dog is still in coma after 24 hours. she might not make it. Its a 4 months old mix puppy we got fromt he Limassol dog shelter.

Needless to say that moments like this i just hate all the uncivilized bloody cypriots and i am proud to be from a civilized country where such things cant happen.

Based on previous expereience with the police i am quite sure that they will do exactly nothing. This even despite the fact that opposite where they placed the poison 2 toddlers play on the street every day.

Any advice is welcome.

I'm really sorry you and your pet are going through this. But to let your own uncivilised racists tendencies get the better of you, based on prejudice and nothing more, is even sadder to witness.

18 cats poisoned by 'animal-hating psychopath' in two-mile radius

By LUKE SALKELD

Eighteen cats in one town have died after being poisoned with anti-freeze – triggering a warning to owners to keep their pets indoors.
There are fears they are being targeted by an animal-hating maniac.
Seven from neighbouring terraced houses in one street in Bridgwater, Somerset, have died in the last week alone. It follows a spate of 11 deaths four months ago, two miles away.
