How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I remember years ago, when I was very young, I was with my mum in a supermarket and Vasilou passed next to us. My mum turned to me and said "The woman who just passed is Afxentiou's wife". I remember my self turning and staring at her like she was Afxentiou himself.

That's rather sweet :) ... Heroes and Heroines walking amongst us, shopping, waiting for the right time ....

The Auxentiou family.Vassilou is holding the young Grigoria ,the niece of Grigoris. Also in the photo his father and his sister. The children are his other nephews and nieces.
All the photos are scanned from the "Times of Cyprus" published by Charles Foley during the EOKA struggle.

They look so innocent and so ordinary human beings, and yet they are murderers and murderesses. What kind of brainwashing is needed to convert such innocent looking people to murdering?

Did they go to church just before they murdered or did they go after to wash away the guilt?

The murderers are those who invaded, oppressed and exploited our island, not those who fought the foreign Imperialists for the freedom of the Cypriot people from the foreign rulers.

I wonder, were those who fought against the Nazis (and killed many of them) murderers? Where all those other nations that revolted against the British, Ottomans and the rest of the Imperialists, murderers?

Only a foreigner enemy of Cyprus could call murders those who fought against the foreign rulers of our island for the freedom and self-determination of the Cypriot people.

If you are affiliated with the invaders and oppressors of Cyprus rather than the Cypriot people, then it is you who should feel guilty for your crimes against Cyprus.

There is no excuse on earth for murdering. Ghandi did not go around murdering and got independence for India.

So who were the brave women in the background? What did they do? How did they help?

Let's hear it for the EOKA Heroines .... :D

So it is fine for you to invade, murder and oppress us, but when we fight back for our freedom there is no excuse? It is like saying that Hitler had the right to invade and oppress others but those others didn't have the right to fight back for their freedom. I hope you understand how ridiculous your claim is.

We have been asking for decades for our self-determination. We asked many times for a democratic referendum so the Cypriot people can peacefully decide the destiny of their own island. This was denied to us by the Imperialists. Since an official referendum was denied to us we went on with an unofficial plebiscite, and the results of it were totally ignored by the imperialists. A revolution was our last resort and we had every right for it.
