Good Luck for your move. It's exactly what we aim to do in about 5-10 years. Would definately go with the advice on the post in renting for at least 6 months, maybe even longer!! Property market is slow as everywhere in the world so if you buy a house/villa and don't like Cyrpus you may struggle to sell it on. Have you been to Cyrpus before?

I am thinking about moving to Cyprus from UK in August this year. Can anybody recommend a company which does Cyprus??

thanks, Brian
Do as Miltiades advises; renting in Limassol will give you ample opportunity to look around from a central south coast position.

I'll try Pickfords and Grimaldi Lines first then.

Hi Brian

We have just bought a holiday home in Limassol and so wanted to move some furnature over from the UK.

We got a quote from Pickfords and found them to be very expensive.

A friend recommended we try a company he used last year called Aspin Freight. We found them to be very reasonable and the service they gave us was fantastic.

I hope this helps!!!!!! :D

Hello mate

I am from Aspin Freight, 01512079991, Neil

We can offer weekly sailings from Liverpool and very competitive rates. We can offer a sole use container door to door with you doing your own wrapping, packing, loading and unloading, or we can offer you a full removal service at both ends.

We also have a weekly groupage service to Cyprus.

Feel free to call or email me and I will give you free advice. I will offer you a quote if you want one, but happy to just chat if you prefer.

Neil

rent as soon as you get here, jobs not easily available, plenty of people waiting to take advantage of you so be aware,no such thing as a free lunch, promises promises is the G/C name of the game.Lovely place to live if you have plenty of money but a bit dog eat dog if you have'nt.Do'nt give up your home in UK until you are sure it is going to work in Cyprus.Pick your area as since more additions to the EU there is more crime in Cyprus now.Good luck anyway.
