I loathe benefits scroungers, but to be fair to DH999 ( if you read his previous post, he has never claimed and has contributed for 40 years) he sounds like he wanted to know if help was there if needed :?:  maybe this forum was not the best place to ask
now can you all untwist your knickers

Suegwyn,

In all fairness, do you find "wanted to know if help was there if needed" compatible with making provocative remarks like "Cyprus cheated their way in to the EU" ? The guy/gal seems to imply hat it is OK to scrounge if he can, because in his (IMHO arbitrary and unsubstantiated propagandist) view "cyprus cheated"? And you, who loathes scroungers, leap to the defence of an aspiring scrounger and make patronising remarks to the rest of us when we take him up on his dubious comments? Yeah, right!

Dear DH999,

Don't listen to any of them. There is a new grant by the Cyprus Government that basically, will pck you up at the airport via limo, drive you to a 5* hotel in Limassol (Fully paid) and best of all you will be staying on an all inclusive basis. In addition you will get a nice cheque of Euro 2000 to tide you over, until the social security cheque starts coming through. And best of all the Cyprus Government will also cover cost of Porn movies in your hotel should you chose to watch.

Nice one, Pissouri.

Of course, it would be really oppressive of "cheating cyprus" if one could not choose the colour of the limo!

Suegwyn, I think you are right it was not the best forum to approach. It appears
to be populated by people with too much time on their hands - maybe they are unemployed and want to keep the secrets of the Cyprus social security system to themselves.

DH999,

As far as I am aware, one can discuss any topic on this forum, but you cannot expect your comments to remain unchallenged. "Unemployed and want to keep the secrets to themselves" ? A bit rich from an aspiring scrounger don't you think? I think you will find that the strongest opinions about these things come from people who work for a living. In any case, if you send a few thousand quid in used ones's I am sure we could find a suitable forum for you

BTW, however busy one is, one can find time to challenge prejudiced comments such as yours.

Perhaps a web site like the one kindly suggested by Pissouri would be a more appropriate forum for you. good luck!

Then once you have settled in, cheque coming through on a monthly basis, etc. You can start complaining about things that offend you. I.e. ban people from refering to Christmas, Easter, etc. Ban Church bells, basically anything to do with Christian holidays. Also get the schools, government offices, etc. to close for other religious holidays, i.e. Buddist, Hindu, etc. Ban people from displaying the Cyprus flag and don't forget any St George flags displayed anywhere.

Once you have accomplished this and the cheque coming through regularly, then you have paradise (i.e. the Uk with sunshine)
