How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sorry, but the south will not be just like any other country like Spain or Greece, because it will still be Cyprus. I don't think you really understand what BBF really is. They are not like what it would be between Israel and Palestine if and when Palestine becomes a state. It will be more like California and Arizona. Different states, different laws (maybe) but under one country and one Federal laws that will apply in either of the two states if Federal crimes are committed. Federal crimes will be dealt in Federal courts and both the north and the south will have Federal courts. If you commit state crimes, they will be dealt with the state courts, and depending where the crime is committed, it will be that state who's court you will go to. If you commit a crime in one state and make a runner to the other, then you will be extradited to the state where the crime was committed and then you will have to be tried under that states laws. If you want to call this a unitary state, then it is a unitary state. I call it True Federation under one central government where both states will live under along with their own state laws.

Its a matter of viewpoint here, we can be seen as one country no prolem there but the fact that I am am not forced to live under a GC administration is what TCs want, to have the choice to live in a TC state run by TCs, we have at last agreed something, 2 seprate states administered by GCs in the south and TCs in the north.

2 states can have political equality as long as it is democratic and does not violate anyone's human rights, so go for it.! I support equal states as long as it is democratic.

There has to be a way to guaranteed political equality of the 2 states where one state cannot dominate the other.

The lower house is proportional reprentation and the upper house has a guaranteed balance with the ulitimate decision in cases of deaalock going to the president or vice president seems very democratic to me. We have finally agreed on this point as well.

Cyprus will provide security for it's own citizens made up by all the citizens. North and south state will also have their own security administered by the citizens living in that state....what's the problem.??

Agreed.

This is not a TC right....sorry. Land size has nothing to do whether the state is economically viable or not. Just how can you measure something like that by just saying we (TC's) need 29%.? Even if that was the case, which I very much doubt, why should the GC's give you anything that belongs to them. What if the GC's said they needed 90% land to be better economically viable than they are now.? What will you tell them...NO.! Well, expect the same in return. Monaco is a drop in the Ocean in comparison to 18% of the new north state and yet, their GDP per person is very high. You will not convince me that more land means bigger economy. It is the people not the size of land that creates a strong economy. Plus, bigger the land size you have, the more GC's you will have living in it, the more chance you have losing political offices to the GC's.

With a right to return whats wrong with a 29% 71% split? we are nearly there, 29% has alway been on the table lets take it that it was formally agreed by the 2 sides and we have a deal???
