What a sorry state we are in. On one hand we are bending over backwards to keep these people on fags and booze, on the other we are treating Ghurka's ( a fine bunch of men) with distain.

Agree re the Gurkhas. Every single one should have auto citizenship/settlement rights in GB.

Disagree re comments in some posts above re scroungers. Far too easy to look at the extreme cases and apply them to all on state benefits in these difficult times. Let's not get led astray by the reactionary press.

Bill, we have been down this road before and learnt very little. There is work out there and not just poorly paid. We still have a very large Polish workforce in our area, still working and still wanting more work and earning decent money.
I am all for helping those who are finding it hard but pay them their benefits for an good days work, if they are able.

Ghurkas fought for Britain , they still do . The British "traffic warden" mentality at its supreme best. A Ghurka serves 19 years in the British army yet the "traffic wardens" deny him the right of abode in the UK. On the other hand a Taliban escapes from the shit hole comes over here , claims political fucking asylum and he is given benefits housing and god knows what. The more I come across the absurd "traffic warden" mentality the more I wonder how on earth did this nation ruled 2/3s of the world !!!

ps. I hate traffic wardens , they are a bunch of ignorant bloody single minded plonkers carrying out the dirty work for the councils and the so called traffic fuckerupper of London.
Abolish them I say , or best send them to Afghanistan with strict instructions never to come back.

I like traffic wardens ... they look smart, they keep the streets orderly and they always know how to find somewhere when I'm lost! :D

Keep up the good work! Pillars of civilisation.
