It gave the T/C aid, has offered a direct trade proposal which the T/C leadership turned down and has enabled Green Line Trade. The G/Cs that we are taught to hate who control the Roc Govt pay for T/Cs to have free healthcare even though G/Cs pay for it, they offer them subsidies for schooling and with RoC passports T/Cs can travel, study and work anywhere they want in the EU.

Still some T/C still believe the TRNC is right to exist that might is right and so is theft. They believe the TRNC will be recognised even though in 34 years, Turkey has done very little to promote the TRNC internationally. Turkey clearly prefers an uncommercialised backwater that is dependent on Ankara - its easier to control.

Even CTP, a party democratically supported by T/Cs who marched on the streets in thousands in 2003 and 2004 to oppose Denktash later became another UBP, fighting in a battle of loyalty.
