Only a non Cypriot would come out with such comments .You ARE NOT a Cypriot , you should pack your bags and ask the occupation army to have you posted to your homeland.

I remember in the 80s when young people wanted to organise and criticise the government, they had to do it in a very discreete way. Now, you go to any village and you will find both left winf and right wing kahves, in the left wing ones you will see all sorts of posters againts Turkey and America. You are likely to see posters of Fidel Casto and Che Guavara. TCs are no longer afraid of their goverment, police or anybody else. They will say what they feel.

Isn't it true that there has only been freedom of speech in the Turkish Cypriot community since the CTP came to power? The chauvinist right has regained control of parliament and may well retake the office of president next year. Can you be sure that the dark days of the 80's (and earlier) that you describe above will not return?

Actually, VP, it is the "trnc" that is in Cyprus and not the other way around, and if you don't believe me, ask the EU and the UN. All you are at the moment, is nothing but acting like a squatter of others properties, for the most part, acting like a squatter on others land, for the most part, and acting like a squatter on others country, in FULL. Your "gecekondu trnc" is just that, a illegally created non entity that does not have any future, and just like any other "gecekondus" which are created overnight, they are temporary and an eye sore and will get knocked down at first opportunity by the legal owners of Cyprus, so enjoy your "sand castle" while it lasts, because just like any structure without good foundations, it will collapse, since the ONLY foundation you have in the "trnc" is the Turkish Military. You might as well be sitting on a one legged stool which you have been going all this time, since no one else is prepared to support you by the International community. It is only a matter of time before your single leg of your stool begins to give way, then gravity will take over and collapse. It can not end in any other way if you do not accept Full Democracy in Cyprus but want to continue your Racist and Undemocratic demands..!
