Presenting a new "handmade" website

Postby kafenes » Tue Apr 21, 2009 7:20 pm

This is the wife's job. She's had this idea for a while now and finally put it together - a website dedicated to anything handmade on the island.

Have a look. If you or friends have a hobby & want to put something on the site, you can contact her through e-mail. For the time being its free because the site is just taking off. Any comments are also welcome

Very nice.

Good luck to the long-suffering Mrs K with her venture

(presumably the good lady is long-suffering?)

What a great idea ... and I wish her much success in promoting "kitchen industries". :D

.... Just when you were spending less time in there.

Rabbit stew!!!

No reh! It must be symbolic ..... :? It's a metaphor for the inevitability of our mortality. That the carrots look on defiantly, nay triumphantly, as the rabbit lies dead ...

Very nice site Kafenes

Well done to Mrs K

My wife has a beautiful collection of hand made lace (Lefkoritika etc) which she started making when she was 8 years old by copying the old ladies in her village

She has in the past been offered considerable sums for some of her work ...but would never sell

the old crafts should be always kept alive

Richard, I have a passion and have been collecting Lefkaritika for a few years now. I must have over 120 pieces in my collection dating as far back as 1920.

Thanks all for your nice comments. The wife will be happy to know her work is being appreciated.
