Online shop with cheap English things from Primark etc.

Postby caseymoo » Sun Apr 19, 2009 7:09 pm

Hi I want to know your honest opinions on what you think to an online
shop with goods from England like towels, toiletries, jewellery all the latest English fashion, things from Primark and other cheap stores that you just dont have over there. I am trying to decide whether to do it as an online auction site or just as a basic shop, im thinking of selling cheap dvds, ugg boots, ghds, towels, cutlery, sun cream and other things at very cheap prices
compared to Cypriot prices, i lived there so i know how expensive things can be especially now with the Euro.

so give me your opinions and vote Auction site or Store and is it worth it?
I will be charging very low postage, at cost.

Childrens clothes etc should be a good line to try, I know a lot of parents at my Daughters school that moan about missing Primark, Asda, Tesco for buying reasonable clothes for children. Good luck, I'll keep my eye out for your new store :)

I think you are just too late with a good idea they are doing it here in Pafos definitely not on line but selling Primark stuff, I know someone who flies to UK every month buys hundred of pounds of cloths etc prebooks their luggage and pays for at least 6 extra cases luggage about 8 pounds each case , they are making a nice living at it.

I would have to question the £8 per case extra luggage? I also sell UK branded clothes, toiletries and cosmetics at the Duckpond market in Paphos and having been in the business for some years (here and in UK) I am constantly sourcing the cheapest was to ship good in.

If you know differently please let me know :?

Think it is a fantastic idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just dont charge too much. I know clothes are expensive over here, but I am still not willing to pay 10 pound for an item that sells in primark for 2 pounds (like most of the markets do) Definately need a shop like this in the Kapparis, Paralimni area, but online would be just as good.

Good luck with your new venture, I'll defo be a visitor
