In Greek it is known as an Alathrika, not sure of the english name.

Its similar to fennel but larger. I know it grows around the Lefkara area.

to help if u are correct Aussie Kypreos ..... under this plant at same name mushrooms grows and we call them Gavcar mantarı .... here is the picture of mushrooms and before the flowering time how it was the Gavcar .

ok .... used in salads ..... can be mixed withyogurt ..... also it can be cooked..... what is it and what is called in your languages ....Cypriots ....
