The average size for women in the UK is 14/16 and in Cyprus 8/10!

I am not your average woman

Um ... forgive me for interjecting, but this may be of benefit ... and encouragement....

Until recently, one of my sisters was seriously over-weight and I was less than sympathetic, as is a brother's duty. For some months she has watched the amount she eats and goes for long walks a couple of times a day and this simple regime has restored her former slimmess, so much so, that she'll be wearing a bikini, for the first time in years, on a Cy beach somewhere near you this Summer....

... and I'm calling her "skinny" rather than "fatty". Duty being duty.

We should not be dictated to though! I hate seeing the 'stick insect skinny' models on tv and in magazines etc ..................................so gross and unhealthy looking!

Is your data correct re the Cypriot women? Over the past few years I have seen an increase in their size and your data may well change accordingly to account for this.
I blame all the pastries they eat (which shows on their hips! )
I would have thought that UK women were larger too - given all the junk food (and alcohol) the younger generation get through!

Well done to your sister Bill. :)
My problem is not overeating as such (though I do occasionally) it is the lack of exercise - though I have now rectified the latter (not very much over the last week sadly!)
I too will be in my bikini this year - God willing!

I think it's true for Cy women until they get married
