Is Cyprus Ripe for a 'Velvet Revolution'?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Nothing is impossible and nothing should be surprising.

What would we call it?

Well if CTP and UBP form the government in the north and DISY and AKEL do the same in the south, we could call it the Vraga Revolution.

Actually, let me just make one thing clear.

I'm not proposing toppling our lovely Communist Government. I mean, even the USA is adamant it is perfect, the one and only legitimate Government of Cyprus:

“Now, I want to repeat to be very clear so there is absolutely no misunderstanding... we do not recognise any government other than the government of the Republic of Cyprus”

.... State Department official on behalf of Hilary Clinton. (Quoted in the Cyprus Mail)

But for how long are we going to allow those Turk-TCs to play at pretend politics, holding pseudo-elections and trying to set up some kind of splinter "governmental-power-groups" - in our country?

Absolutely our O and I do like the sound of "The Vragga Revolution" Freddo.

The obvious first objective for a New People Power, the Liberation of Famagusta for which we have an effective UN mandate.

Oracle my dear friend .... Idon't think we have a choice in allowing the TC's to hold part of our country hostage............ Turkey has a stronghold on it and whilst that oil is still in the sea we have buckleys. The only people that can change this is the TC's and through a revolution in the occupied areas...... an unlikely step.

OK I'll go with YFred's "Velvet Vragga Revolution" and Famagusta should be a doddle as it's deserted and has many empty Turkish restaurants according to Deniz ...

What do we need?
