Kayıp Otobüs’ün yolcuları bulundu

KKTC’de ’Kayıp Otobüs’ belgeseliyle gündeme gelen ve 1964 yılında işe gittikleri otobüsle ortadan kaybolan 11 Kıbrıslı Türk’ün, Rumlar tarafından kaçırıldığı ve kurşuna dizilerek kör bir kuyuya atıldığı ortaya çıktı. Rum kesimindeki Voroklini köyünde iki yıl önce çıkartılan kemiklerin DNA testiyle kayıp yolculara ait olduğu belirlendi.

’KAYIP Otobüs’ adlı belgesele konu olan Rum katliamı, 13 Mayıs 1964 tarihinde Larnaka’da yaşandı. Dikelya’daki İngiliz Üslen bölgesinde çalışan 11 Türk, her zamanki gibi sabah erken saatte işyerlerine götüren otobüse bindi. Otobüs ve içindekilerden bir daha haber alınamadı. Yönetmenliğini Fevzi Tanpınar’ın yaptığı Kayıp Otobüs belgeseli iki yıl önce çekildi ve ortadan kaybolan Türkler ilk kez gündeme geldi. Belgesel, 45’inci Altın Portakal Festivali ile Boston Türk Festivali’nde de gösterildi.

Adada BM öncülüğünde Türk ve Rumların ortaklığında faaliyet gösteren Kayıp Şahıslar Komitesi dün ’Kayıp Otobüs’ün kayıp kurbanlarının tespit edildiğini açıkladı. Kayıp Şahıslar Komitesi, iki yıl önce Rum kesiminde Larnaka kenti yakınlarındaki Voroklini köyünde kör bir kuyuda bulunan kemikler ile kayıp yakınlarından alınan örneklere DNA karşılaştırması yapıldığını ve ’Kayıp Otobüs’ yolcularını böylece belirlediklerini bildirdi.

Kemikler üzerindeki kurşun izlerinden de kayıp otobüsteki kayıp Türklerin, Rumlar tarafından kaçırılıp kurşuna dizildiği kesinleşmiş oldu. DNA testiyle katliam kanıtlandı. Şimdiye kadar katliam bir iddiaydı.

AİHM’ye gidiyorlar

KAYIPLAR arasında aile yakınları da bulunan yönetmen Fevzi Tanpınar, "Şehit aile yakınları dernek kurmaya çalışıyor. Şehitlerimiz askeri törenle gömülecek. Şehit yakınları ayrıca, tek tek ya da topluca Avrupa İnsan Hakları Mahkemesi’nde de Rumlara dava açma girişimlerini başlattı. Kıbrıslı Rumlar kayıpları ile ilgili çok sayıda anıt mezar yaptı. Biz de yaşananları gelecek nesillerin unutmaması, tarihte yerini alması ve Rum mezalimini gözler önüne koyması için Kayıp Otobüs anıt mezarı istiyoruz" dedi.

Brief translation:

The event took place in Larnaka on 13th May, 1964. The 11 Turkish Cypriot were on their way to work and got on bus to take them there which was on the British controlled area. Nothing was heard from them again.

Their bodies were found two years ago in the Greek Cypriot village Voroklini. The bullet marks on their body was a proof that they were kidnapped, lined up, and shot by the Greek Cypriot
perpetrators.

The relatives of the victims will take the Greek Cypriot side to the European Human Rights Court.
